First off: the last page of chapter one for Lunargyros was posted on Tuesday! Cover image next week, weee! I need to do some other stuff for it, like LJ icons. Too much to draaaaw...
Also...I have a job tomorrow! That went kinda weirdly.
Went into the temp agency place today to basically meet with the client I was supposed to do reception work for. Building contractors in Agoura Hills? And while she was very nice, she kinda...scared me off of the job unintentionally. :D;; It sounded like a lot more responsibility than I wanted in a job I didn't really care about. And basically, I was honest and said I would leave the reception position fora job that guarantees no money, no benefits and no real security in the slightest CAUSE THAT'S SMART comics, if it came up. And they wanted someone willing to be a bit more permanent. Okay!
The moral of this story: don't be honest to anyone in business! Especially the people interviewing you! ♥
But! I got an email from a church friend of my family who said they had a receptionist position at the travel agency where he works. So I called and he was all, "You want a job?" and I went "Y SHOR" and he went "Can you start tomorrow?" and I went "Uh...OKAY" and, um, there you have it. At least I don't have to frecking interview for this one since he knows me already.
It'll be less monies for this job than the one I bombed. :/ Buuut, I do get benefits right off the start, and that to me is a bigger plus than just a higher paycheck. HOORAY FOR INSURANCE. Also, since this dude has known me since I was little and knows that drawing is my passion, I feel a little less worried that he'll go pink slip on me if he sees me drawing during slow hours. So, uhhh...here's hoping I can actually comic a bit at this new job? :D;
And hey, I also applied for a PA position at Nickelodeon, so if I'm lucky maybe that'll go somewhere, too.
And now I'm going to go actually frickin' register for Anime LA already and then do something that I want to work on...
Drawing: Finished some LG pages and doujin pages, almost done with two giftarts, and pencilled the revised LG page, but there's still so much more to do...
