Well this has been an interesting morning. So, I got up early to get over to Gnomon for life drawing with John's class and then working on some more models. Only, when I got there, I discovered that the LA Marathon was going on and they had blocked off Hollywood Blvd. Since I have to actually cross Hollywood in order to get to Gnomon, this proved difficult. I drove around for almost half an hour searching for a cross street before I finally gave up and went to drive back home. The only other way I could think to get there would be to come from the opposite direction from PCH, but by then the class would practically be over anyway.
So I was on my way back home, and heading through Malibu Canyon when all of a sudden a motorcyclist coming from the opposite direction takes a spill at 50 MPH on one of the nastier curves and goes sliding across the road. My initial reaction was something like this:

Luckily, the driver was okay...hurt leg, but she could stand on it, and was more shaken up than anything. The bike received the brunt of the damage, which is a shame 'cause it was a nice bike. I was last in line of about four other people who saw it and all stopped, which was extra good because there were some guys able to move the bike off the road and offer ice packs and such. We stayed around until the police showed up and said we were good to go. But MAN, that scared the living bejeebus out of me. I've never actually seen a motorcycle accident occur before, and I hope to not see one again. The driver was just really lucky, and especially lucky that she didn't collide with any of us going the opposite direction. D:
So uh...guess I'll go work on some LG now instead. @_@ And at least I'll be at D-Land with Rei tomorrow, so that will be fun!
