The Worst Easter Ever
Before we get to the main story, here's the latest waking-up drawings:

Under-covers drawings 31-34 )

Since we are coming up on Easter this weekend, I suddenly feel like it would be a good idea to tell the story of the Worst Easter Ever. Many of you have already heard this story because I love to gross out the people I consider friends, but for those who don't, here it is. Complete with illustrations! Yes I know this is kind of ripping off the style of Hyperbole and a Half, but hey, if it works it works. Really, the best part about childhood misery is having internet acquaintances laugh at it!

If you really cannot stand talk about bugs, you may want to skip over the story of my Worst Easter Ever. No, seriously. Although this story is spider-free, it is definitely not bug-free. There will be many bugs.

So Happy Easter, everyone! 8Db

In related news, I just had a Cadbury egg, and daaaayum I love those things. They're sooooo good.

I owe you ONE EGGS.
Nngh. Today's Easter was...okay, I guess. Had to get up super-early for church, which made me realize that I need a new alarm clock badly. The sermon was fine, the flowers were purdy, and my brothers and I stopped by Barnes and Noble for a bit afterwards. We then drove up to Bakersfield for lunch with the family, which was also quite fine. My uncle is looking a lot better.

My aunt made a bunch of nicely-painted Easter eggs and hid them around the yard for us (college-age-and-older) kids to find, lawl. I found a grand total of ONE EGGS.

Leveled my Pokemons team more on the trip there and back. When I got back, I attempted to do my taxes. I failed miserably, mostly because I have forms that I didn't have last year and I'm not certain what I'm supposed to be filing. I think I'm going to end up owing money this year, yuuuuuck. Guess I'll have to try again tomorrow.

And I can't even munch my financial frustration away with chocolate because we didn't get any baskets. Haven't been getting them for a few years, actually. Maybe tomorrow I'll go down to the store and buy some cadbury eggs on discount. Man, cadbury eggs are so awesome.

I hope that everyone had a very nice Easter!

Lots of men in pink shirts today
HAPPY EASTER, EVERYONE! I would do the sparklies, but I forgot how and I'm too lazy to go look up the link. I hope everyone had a good day with family and friends!

Well, after a few days on the job, I'm finally starting to get used to it and it's coming along okay! I got to work more with the big rig on Saturday and that was pretty fun. Tomorrow will be a superlong day, and it's looking like I'll be staying on an extra week. But still! Experience is good and all, so I'm glad I'm getting it! And at least I'm done with that superlong shot that was a bit of a pain.

Aaaand finally! A slightly early birthday present for [livejournal.com profile] lovediamond, who is a dude of extreme coolness!

Insert lame fire and ice pun here )

GG I still owe you a late b-day present sry ._.

Hooray for breaktime
Thusfar I have spent it...uh...relaxing, I guess. As much relaxing as I can with constantly thinking "Need to get X done by Y date for Z overall goals..."

Our entire kitchen is being redone! It's just a big empty space now, since all of the cabinets, dishwasher, fridge, oven and tile are being replaced, and all the walls are being repainted and redone. Which means we've been kind of kitchen-less for the past few days and will continue to be so for a week or three. >_> We now have a makeshift kitchen in the garage, where the fridge and microwave have been hooked up...still no oven, and no sink to do dishes in, though, so it's weeks' worth of microwave dinners and takeout for us. At least mom will be happy with a new kitchen, considering she's been wanting to redo it for years...

Sunday was Easter; got up early to go to service with the family, and then we drove out to Bakersfield to visit more family. Nothing humongous, but we had a big lunch with roast and corn on the cob and other delicious goodness. *_* Visited with cousins a little. We didn't get any Easter baskets or chocolate this year, but since the 'rents just bought themselves a new TV to replace the who-knows-how-old set that couldn't even keep the picture onscreen for a minute at a time, I'm not complaining.

Also, went to Disneyland yesterday with mom and little brother! I didn't really get much drawing done, just some ink sketches of kids, but it was fun just taking the day off and chatting. Went on all kinds of various rides, including a few I don't usually do...I really need to go to some of the shows sometime. :o We also went to the Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney for dinner, which was a nice little splurge. Also, got some delicious fudge from the candy shop in Main Street! :3 Very good times! Next time I go, though, I think I need to pack my own lunch. I love Disneyland food to pieces, but it's always so expensive... ;_;

Finally, there was a new Lunargyros page on Tuesday; you can read it here.

Uhhhh...yeah, boring entry is boring. XD; And now, I'm gonna go do tags in [livejournal.com profile] daisychainrpg... \o/

Because I know you all care about my homework...
I'm in lab now with not much else to do, since I finished the primitive version of my model for Intro to Maya class. And here it be!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Nothing really exciting since it's all very basic shapes, but the stairs ended up being a bit tricky. The goal is to eventually make it look like this:

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

The dragon-head is in another file, but it still needs tweaking. I'm not entirely sure how I want to handle some of those huge cracks in there: some of it can be texturing, but not all of it. The actual pyramid still needs some tweaking too, I think. But ugh, this will be lots easier than what I tried last time I did this class. HOORAY FOR PRIMITIVE-SHAPED THINGS.

I need to find some better way to stay awake in class. I was totally nodding off, because it's dark and cold (for the computers) in the classroom and it was just the teacher talking. D: Doodling helps, but then I can't actually watch what he's doing.

By the way, I hope everyone had an awesome Easter! I didn't do much except finish the next doujin page, stuffed myself with candy, and then I picked up [livejournal.com profile] yamikonumber7. The internets were down so I got some more marks and espers in FFXII (OMG the Cuchuu-whatshisname was FREAKY) and then we watched Mirrormask over dinner and pie. XD Good times!

My brothers get home from Europe in about a week, but then my parents do a week or so after them, because they couldn't get their flight changed. Then I guess we'll tackle financial aid once again. :P

Drawing: Finished the page, and did a bit more on the cast pic.
