HEY! LISTEN!
TO ANYONE THAT I WAS SHARING THE HOTEL ROOM WITH AT COMIC CON:

Did any of you grab one of my sleeping bags by mistake? The one I am missing was in a black sleeping-bag-carrying case, so it was probably easy to miss. What I'm thinking happened is that we switched sleeping bags by mistake, because I have SOMEONE'S sleeping bag but I know it's not mine.

So does anyone in the room suddenly have a sleeping bag that doesn't belong to you? If you're not sure, please go and check! I need to get that sleeping bag back or else mom will kill me. ;_;

ALSO TEGU: I actually do have your sunglasses. They're sitting on my bookshelf, and if you want I can mail them back.

San Diego Comic Con 2009 Report!
AT LAST, I RETURN TO THE INTERNETS AFTER A WEEK IN SAN DIEGO. I will likely forget a lot of important and/or hilarious things, but will try to report what I do recall.

Overall, this con was fun! :D I ended up sharing a room with [livejournal.com profile] tegurunrampant, [livejournal.com profile] ormery, [livejournal.com profile] yamikonumber7, [livejournal.com profile] caedhe, [livejournal.com profile] gaelic_bohemian, [livejournal.com profile] corrielle and their friend Risa. Despite the large amount of people in the room, it all went very smoothly and everyone was 110% awesome! Tegu stuck with me most places and I got to show her all the coolness of SDCC, Kia did some epic cosplays, Squeak was ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS seriously she's a laugh riot IRL, I got to meet [livejournal.com profile] universejuice and she was ALSO made of awesome, Neko got to hang with us on Saturday and got free books, and Em and Rae of course were there to be more awesome! Friends really do make a con.

Midway to middle age?!?!
I'm not going to be around online tomorrow at all: it's my birthday, and I'm going to Disneyland with my mom. Probably to California Adventure, since she's never been and it's nice to show people around, even if CA is not as cool a DL itself. XD

I'm going to be 25 tomorrow AAAAAAAAAH I AM SO OLD AND CROTCHETY D8

Also for that, uh, I didn't know what to ask for. >> I feel like asking for anything from people is just putting undue pressure on them because of economic times being the way they are, and who wants that pressure? And when it comes to art and fics, dudes know what I like anyway. \o_O/ Unless they don't, in which case...they don't?!

Otherwise, I went and scoured the Comic Con schedule today, and I think I have a tenative list of what I want to attend:

Thursday
11:00-12:30 - Disney 3D panel
3:00-4:00 - Disney Master Classes panel (Glen Keane hells yes!)
5:30-6:30 - Naughty Dog panel on Uncharted 2 (Might skip this because of the concert)
7:00-finish - Video Games Live concert by the marina
* Lucasfilm portfolio reviews

Friday
12:45-2:15 - Disney Animation panel
2:30-3:30 - Shane Acker's "9" panel (both of these are Hall H, so WOO CAMPOUT)
7:15-8:15 - Rifftrax Live (this one is up for debate since I also want to get in line for the Star Wars film awards...)
8:30-10:00 - Star Wars Film Awards
* Nickelodeon portfolio reviews

Saturday
10:00-11:00 - Getting jobs in the video game industry panel
11:15-12:30 - Quick Draw panel
4:00-5:00 - Iron Man 2 panel (may or may not do; but it sounds interesting)
8:45-11:45 - Masquerade (Did this last year and am willing to go again!)
* Disney animation portfolio reviews

Sunday
10:00-11:00 - Doctor Who panel (I'm a little wary since that panel's gonna be CROWDED and I'm not as big a DW fan as others, but I've got nothing else to do on Sunday and it looks like fun)
* Smorgasboard portfolio reviews

* The portfolio reviews run through most of the day, and I'll only go to if I have the time...I don't want to do the all-day portfolio reviews that I did one year, especially since most were a waste of time, but I've been pursuing Nick and Disney for awhile and might even be able to talk to someone I know there.

Plus there's probably some anime I want to see in there. 8D SHOULD BE BUSY, AS ALWAYS.

Con Prep Post #Oneofmany
IF YOU'RE COMING TO COMIC CON WITH ME THEN PLEASE READ! Particularly if you're Tegu, Kia or Squeak since you are in my car! Quiet Squeak you count as being in my car

I need to do a shopping trip for foodstuff for the con! Em is also bringing food and while some stuff will be entirely communal (like water), but if there's anything in particular you want in the cooler I'm bringing, then you PLEASE need to tell me! I know what I like already. Some stuff to keep in mind:

- Usually the way we've done meals at Comic Con is two meals of food we bring with us (usually breakfast and one other) and one meal of con food or going to a restaurant. It's a decent balance of Holy Crap This Food Is Expensive and Holy Crap If I See Another Granola Bar I'm Going To Puke.
- We'll have a water boiler in the room, so if you like tea, hot chocolate, ramen cups, noodle bowls, Easy Mac or anything else that just needs hot water, that is doable!
- The cooler I have is not THAT big, so the amount of perishable stuff we can bring is limited. Non-perishable stuff will last you longer. There's usually a minifridge in the room, but again, the emphasis is on "mini." XD
- Obviously it's best to bring stuff that you can stick into a backpack and take with you.

That in mind, please please let me know what food you'd like me to go purchase for the trip! (And uh, also please pay me back for some of it. 8D)

AND NOW NEXT QUESTION. They're doing the bayside video game concert again this year, and I was curious as to whether anyone wanted to go! I don't know what music they're doing this year, but if it's anything like past ones, it'll basically be live orchestral renditions of music from classic Nintendo, LoZ, FF, KH, MGS and other popular series. I went to one my first con year and it was enjoyable! Tickets are extra money: $50 for the best seats to $25 for a spot on the lawn. I haven't bought a ticket yet, but I'll get one if anyone wants to go with me. So is anyone interested? Tickets are almost sold out I think.

And finally if you don't care anything about con, have yourself some comics instead: new Lunargyros page today. :O
