This weekend has been fun as I've got to spend it with friends! Went to Disneyland on Friday with betwixt_worlds, and we had fun even though it started raining pretty hard. XD That's probably the only time I've seen no line for Dole whip floats. Just did stuff with no real worries in mind and talked a lot. I actually went into the Innoventions area, which I haven't before, and ate at the Storyteller's Cafe in the hotel, which was delish. :9

And then yesterday corrielle joined us and we just hung out for the day, watching Disney movies and playing Final Fantasy XIII or Angry Birds. XD We wanted to try out a new restaurant around Malibu for lunch, but it was closed on Saturdays, WTF.

I've created an animatic version of the Bremen Town Musicians board (that I was actually happy with, yay), but I need to post that later. I'm really hoping for some good things to get kicking next week. *crosses fingers*

So I went to the doctor today, and while the wait was long, he basically said that the pain wasn't anything to worry about, just some kind of muscle strain/inflammation. I'm just supposed to take a crapton of advil every day and come back if it doesn't get better within a week. While I'm glad that it doesn't look to be anything serious, I don't like the idea of taking so much medicine every day. @_@ Oh well.

Aaaand as promised, here's my overall consensus on Final Fantasy XIII!

Buuuut aside from all those questions, I overall had lots of fun with the story. Maybe I'm just easygoing and not so picky with this sort of stuff, but I had fun playing, and as long as the game is fun to play I can overlook some weak points in a game's story. I suppose YMMV on that front. Regardless, if you've got a PS3, I'd say go pick it up! If nothing else, it's really beautiful to watch. :D

And hmm, I suppose I should do a bit of fanart for it, too...

Consecutive Days Gone Spoiler-Free: 28 (coming up on one month!)

So! Yesterday I was gone all day 'cause I went to D-Land with corrielle and gaelic_bohemian! We had ourselves an awesome fun time, going back and forth between DCA and D-Land a couple of times. We did stuff like Thunder Mountain, the river rapids ride, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Mulholland Madness, and suchforth. I also finally got to go look around inside the Grand Californian (I've never been back there before) and finally tried a pineapple float at the stand outside the Tiki Room that's always crowded. It was worth the wait, too.

OH, and they've reinstated Captain E.O.! (So yamikonumber7, if you want to go see it, we should before you graduate! They didn't change any of the original show, although they did change the theater. Now parts of the theater move in time with the music, which is both distracting and kinda cool. But man, I had forgotten how Eighties Captain E.O. was. There really isn't any better adjective for it than eighties. (Quite a few people in the audience were loling.) Man, I remember when all of that stuff was so cool. 8<

I also caved in and bought a little Pluto doll for myself! It is the most adorable thing ever! And not just because Pluto is my favorite.

Although man, I got home late last night and had a ton of pain in my side, followed by some really nasty nightmares. D: I feel better today, but how that is I'm not really sure, because I swear there were some moments where that pain in my side was working its way into my nightmares and kind of messing me up in terms of what was real and not. But today that pain's gone and I don't remember most of what the nightmares were, so I guess that's good.

I played taxi for neighbors today, but aside from that, it's FFXIII PLAYAGE. And here we have, I believe, the last commentary post for this game...

And with that, I have officially finished FFXIII! I'll give some more overall/coherent thoughts when I've had some process time for it, but for now, we'll just post the commentary. More will come later~

Been working on a bunch of arts lately, as usual, but I'll have to post those later. Last night we went to Songfest, which I swear about half of my family was in! XD One little bro was dancing in it with his fraternity, another was friggin' stage manager, and my mom was participating in the faculty/staff/alumni group, too. And of course, Kia was in it with her group! I may be biased, but I liked Kia's and my brother's groups best, in that order. >> I enjoyed the theme this year and all of the groups did a great job. It'll be interesting to see who wins which prizes.

Before that we also ate at Malibu Seafood, which is always good, and chatted with friends from church that I haven't seen in awhile because I fail at going to church.

In completely non-FF news, my parents are having their entire bathroom redone...tile, toilet, sinks, cabinets, shower, WALLS, the works. This means weeks of heavy machinery in the house, and also weeks of everyone else in the house using my shower. B|

I can handle that okay, but right now they're using some kind of grout machine or idek and it is making the most CONSTANT AGGRAVATING GRINDING SOUND, it's like someone running a generator for outdoor night games lighting RIGHT UNDER MY FEET. NGGGGGGH.

Aaaand it looks like I won't be able to shower EITHER tomorrow because some fresh caulking had to be put down in my bathroom too, and that takes at least a day to dry. @_@

With that constant noise and smell in the background, let's get back to our l'Cie friends...

I am pretty much waiting for go-aheads on things for the rest of the week, so what better way to wait than to charge through as much FFXIII as possible? 8D

OKAY must take a break to go take care of the doggie, so I'll post this now and then continue when I return...

Today involved much more success on the things that were Not Accomplished yesterday...working wireless, and best of all, snagged a copy of FFXIII OHHH YEAH! This is the first time I've ever actually gotten an FF game when it came out (everything else I got to months or years later...I didn't grow up playing games, you see) so it should be fun!

And since I've gotten most everything done that I need to (for now) this means I'm giving into temptation and starting on the game!

Aaaand of course, this means MORE PLAYTHROUGH COMMENTARY XD (I will get back to Uncharted 2 when I...get back to it!)
