DOUBLE RAINBOWS
I just took Sunshine outside for a walk even though it was raining some, and there was this huuuuuge double rainbow stretching all the way from the top of the mountain down into the valley. OMG, it was soooo pretty. *___* I wish I had a camera good enough to show it.

I took apart my keyboard and gave it a detailed and thorough scrubbing, but no good...the borked keys still wouldn't work. :( Also I keep saying 'keyblade' instead of 'keyboard,' fffffff So, now I'm just using the spare one I had. It's a lot smaller and more compact, so it'll take some getting used to. Feh!

We're doing our Christmas tonight, since parents will be leaving for overseas tomorrow. Yay, presents!

A request
So I thought my software woes were over, but apparently this is not the case. So I have a big question for any smart computer-types out there.

I'm running Dreamweaver MX 6.1 on a mac with 10.5.7 (I know, go ahead and laugh). After re-entering serial numbers, the program itself works fine on my new mac. That is, until I go to connect to the FTP and upload all my new work. As soon as I try that, the program errors out and crashes. I must've tried this like ten times and it crashed on me every time.

So the question is: does anyone know a solution? Will uninstalling and then reinstalling Dreamweaver work? Do I need to find an entirely new version of DW? Should I just use an entirely different FTP program and upload that way instead?

Gotta update my website ASAP, so any help is appreciated! ;_;♥

Gotta catch
In my attempts to distract myself from my huge software woes, I've been occupying myself with a) organizing my music, and b) playing Pokemon Platinum. Holy cow, the music-organizing is TAKING. FOREVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. I'm not even organizing it that meticulously and it's still hours and hours of work. It turns out that I have bazillions of duplicates of a lot of my songs, so I'm trying to get rid of duplicates and triplicates and just free-floating songs that aren't organized properly. It's spring cleaning time and I can only think do it on my computer. Geez. :|

I just beat the Veilstone Gym in Platinum, so my team is around level 30. I think I've set up my WiFi connection now so that I can battle with people! I haven't actually used it ever yet so I'm not certain how to go about it. Anyone wanna meet me on IM so that we can do ourselves a Pokeymans battle? :D I wanna try it!

Also, to everyone going to ACen, take care! And hugs for the rest of my flist too!

I return with...
SO.

Past two days have been rather harrowing, but in the end, I NOW HAVE A NEW COMPUTER.

I had to think long and hard on this, but eventually decided to go with getting an entirely new machine. The problem with my old mac was the logic board, and that plus the RAM I needed plus labor would've put me out $800+ for repairs. Considering this was for a mac that I've owned for almost five years and the warranty was out anyway (I was thinking I would need to buy a new one in about a year anyways), I decided to just bite the bullet and get the new one now, instead of investing the money in an older machine.

Sooooo I came home with a brand new iMac. It feels almost like a step down because before I had a PowerMac tower, but ironically enough one of the lesser iMacs strill has better processing power and RAM and video than my old top-of-the-line PowerMac did. Wow, computers, you amaze me.

I bought a 24-inch iMac, and this thing is HUGE. I swear it's as big as my TV. BIG SHINY SEE-EVERYTHING SCREEN. I like my computers that way...I can't stand working on laptops or anything with small screens anymore. It's like the difference between trying to draw on my DS and trying to draw on my floor. I like having space.

Of course, the problem now is getting all of my software working again. Photoshop 7 won't load on this computer at all, but I might have a few options for that before I panic. Flash and Dreamweaver are working okay. The MAIN problem I have is my scanner. That thing is almost ten years old, and the software required to run it uses OS Classic. I get the feeling that 10.5 doesn't even want to look at my scanner, let alone work with it. D: I tried looking for a software upgrade, but nothing seemed to work.

So my big question is: I NEED TO GO SCANNER-SHOPPING. What would fellow artists out there recommend? I need something that
a) Works well under constant use
b) Works with Mac 10.5
c) Considering I just spent a bundle on this computer, is as cheap as possible
It'd be great to get something larger than letter size, but I'll work with it if I have to. Also, I don't do printer/scanner/copier-machines in one. Hate those; they're really unreliable.

SO PLEASE PLEASE HELP, F-LIST. Do you know of any good scanners for artists that I can procure as quickly as possible?
