First off, there's a new Lunargyros page up for readage! That was yesterday, anyway. :P
And also, you can see all of the photos that
chobit001 took of our Disneyland/California Adventure par-tay right here! There's two pages's worth; I'm just too lazy to repost them all under Photobucket at the moment. I look like a dork and I hate photos of me arrrgh etc.
And here's some stuff on the Maya project:

Just thumbnails when I was trying to figure out the dragoncraft's initial look.

Aaand a more finished look. I'm sure the design will change a bit between this and the final model, but this at least should be the basic construction. :3 Need to figure out how I want the colors/shading to go, too. I think I found a fun texture that I'll use on the wings.
Otherwise, I went and had a really good lunch meeting with Bob Kline at the nearby Promenade yesterday! We had a long talk about the animation industry, job-finding and just stuff like that in general. He's so oldschool; it was fun and a little strange hearing the perspective of someone who's been animating for 30+ years and is thinking about retirement, compared to my view of just starting out. He does agree that it's a lot harder to break in nowadays. :x He looked through my portfolio again, and I was happy that he still said it was good (I was under impression at the Gargoyles con that he was just being overly nice to everyone) but did say that my characters still looked too flat, and that I should definitely take a life-drawing class. I think I should too, so I need to find one nearby and for a good price if I don't look at the classes GNOMON has. Uuugh, even when I'm out of school I still need school... -_- He also suggested a few projects I can do that would be good for a portfolio, and maybe I'll try and start on those soon, particularly when I have some free time the next few months. I guess I'll still need to look for a "normal" job, since it may be awhile before I can find an art job I want... ;_;Unless TP suddenly decides to actually pick up that story and get it going, and who knows if THAT'LL happen or not...
But yesh, regardless, the meeting was really good, and I got some great advice and (hopefully very soon) a contact list of tons of different studios, yay! So I'm choosing to be encouraged by it.
Operator status: About normal
Drawing: Next LG pages, and, um...I guess new projects I should be starting on for portfolio stuff? There's also a fanart I've been itching to do.
Writing: Sporking is COMPLETE! (And now I'm slated for two more, woohoos!)
