Man, I seem to do this every time it gets updated, but oh well...it deserves PIMPAGE, so pimpage it gets!
New month of Manga Online is up, and wow, but there's craploads of new stuff! More of
bettinamarie's My Cat Loki, which I'm loving, and
crispypoohs's lettering tutorial, wee! I'm kinda sad that they're not updating past the third chapter, since that means no new Fool's Gold or Dogby Walks Alone (and I've even been enjoying Sea Princess Azuri), but with how much new stuff they've added I don't think I'll get tired of it anytime soon.
And speaking of manga, I went to the Oaks mall today and bought a CRAPLOAD of it, including Juror 13 #1 (which I just realized I read all of already on Manga Online, but oh well), Sorcerers and Secretaries #1 (ditto), Deathnote #3 (Light gets to be bastardly in print!) and Kingdom Hearts #2 (Sora being cute and Riku being emo!) plus some presents for
corrielle's birthday (I'm not telling you what they are, duh!) Must be reading some of these soon, although all that online manga nearly wore me out... o_O
I haven't been doing much else other than helping Em through Chain of Memories, which is lots of fun on the big screen. X3 I'm happy I decided to buy that GC-GBA convertor now! Also, I've been playing a bunch of DDR since we had Extreme 2 at the house, and I need to exercise anyway. I like playing through Dance Master Mode since I get really competitive with that game and like unlocking all the new songs (no Moonlight Shadow, alas...) but now I'm at the point where it's mostly a matter of beating songs on heavy and challenge mode, or else trick songs. I can do *some* songs on heavy and challenge, but not so many in a row. XP Need to practice more...

Just an original Deathnote shinigami, because drawing scary things with sharp pointy teeth = fun for all!

Aaaand some more scary things with sharp pointy teeth.

Somethin' a little different. Basically, in my Multimedia Authoring class we're going to start into website building and using wireframes. I asked if I could make a personal portfolio site for my project, since I've been meaning to for a long time and I really need one, especially if I'm going to start job-hunting sometime this century. I got the okay to do that, and the prof also gave me some good suggestions on how to make the site more creative so that it's not just the same old look-here's-my-stuff-here's-my-resume-aren't-you-excited kind of portfolio site. So now I'm actually really looking forward to working on it, and I've got some good ideas! I wanted to intersperse a bit of Flash animation in the site so that it's not quite as static as Jerry the Frog, but not quite as intensive since I lose my patience with Flash scripting really quickly.
So I thought it'd be fun to do a story-based website (kind of choose-your-own-adventure, except not really) with a cute little character that I could do a tad bit of animation with. So I was messing around with the design for a little butterfly dragon! I want to pencil and ink the animation by hand since I'm more comfortable doing that, and then color it and put it together using Flash. I figured out that I *can* do this, although it'll require a few extra steps. Flash is nice for actual animation and all, but it just doesn't have the same organic feel to it that animation by hand does. Now I just need to think of a story to go with the character...
And randomly, this and this completely made my day. XD *Needs to draw Zexion and Vincent being emo together*
Also, they've announced the voice actors for Roxas and Namine! (How 'bout a release date now, hmm? *throws rocks at Square*)
Narnia puppet show completion status: 42% Got most of the puppets done yesterday! The problem is, I haven't been able to find any references for the Pevensies as adults. D: (Anybody out there know if there's some good pictures of them as adults, especially their costumes?) May try and finish the puppets sometime next week.
Operator status: Quiet, kinda. It's Saturday night, duh...
Drawing: A Deathnote fanart that needs inkage, and those puppets. Then later I want to try animating that little dragon dude. And Tim *still* hasn't written me back... *is impatient and annoying*
Writing: I *should* get to my homework for the novel writing class...we'll see if I actually do. ;P Also, finished two and a half of the "Five Things That Never Happened" drabble.
