Boarding collab?
I have another post to do later, but for now, I’ll just go ahead and post this:

I have a big ol’ request for people on my flist, related to something I asked a long while back. I want to do an action-oriented storyboard for portfolio purposes, preferably of established characters so that I can show I can do that. However, I really don’t know where to begin with that, since I don’t have any story ideas. But I know many on the flist are more into current action-based or superhero shows than I am, and have a better grasp on the characters and such, so I am wondering if some will help!

The request is thus: write out an action scene for me, and I’ll turn it into a storyboard for you! I just have these parameters:

- Have the scene be no more than a page long (so super short for you!)
- Have it include at least three characters; four or more is fine
- Have it include some kind of big action involving all the characters: a fight, a chase, etc.
- It must involve established characters from a current or recent series (such as Young Justice, any other current superhero shows, TMNT, A:TLA, etc.)
- It can be something new, or something plucked from a fanfic you’ve done in the past, it doesn’t matter.
- It can be prose or script format; whichever you prefer.
- Links to good episodes to look at that your scene is based on are helpful!

If you’re interested in doing this, please let me know and we can work something out! Thank you coolest dudes!

Oh man, I'd love to help you out-- but action scenes are my weak point! LOL I'm more into sneaky drama. :) I can see if I can cobble something together for you. Might give me practice in writing action.

It's all good; If you're not feeling it, it's totally fine! I'll probably only use one scene anyway. XD I like writing action scenes myself, I just don't know today's current action shows well enough!

*waves* I'd like to help out. :) Feel free to send me into details re: deadlines and such. This might help me get back into writing a bit. :3

There's no real deadline, it's just a thing of I'd like to do it whenever, but sooner is better. And the details are basically up there, just as long as it's a good action scene with established characters. XD

Fascinating! This sounds like fun, as I would *love* to write a kickass action scene again. Mine would probably be live-action though, but if that doesn't bother you, it doesn't bother me. When do you need it by? I'm pretty busy, but maybe this will be the fun thing in my life I make time for.

I think in this case I would prefer an animated action scene since I'd be showing this board to people who do animated shows (especially Nick). However, I should also do some live-action boards at some point, so if you feel like it you can still do a scene if you like! There's no deadline for that; take as much time as you need.
