A random assortment of thoughts
Once again, thanks for all the kind wishes and thoughts on the last entry, dudes. <3 Been hanging in there, mostly by hanging out with super cool friends and watching MST3K and POTC. You guys are seriously the bestest ever.

I guess this is just going to take some time to get used to. I keep going downstairs or finishing a meal or just walking in the house and my first instinct being to go and pet Sunshine, and then I remember she's not there. :( I hate that feeling, because it keeps coming up all the time. We've been saving a bunch of pictures and videos of her, too. (At least, my little bro was smart and took video of her.)

- I kinda want to see 'Gnomeo and Juliet.' It doesn't look amazing or anything, but it looks cute enough.

- I've been debating getting a Plurk. Y/N?

- I really need to draw something for myself soon.

- I keep getting the sense that I need to watch the new My Little Pony, at least an ep or two, because people keep raving about it. But I didn't play with MLPs growing up and I didn't watch the show...

- A small part of me is curious to read Homestuck just so I know what the heck everyone keeps going on about, and then I remember just how long all that is and I get scared off. 8|

- There's a new Lunargyros page up from Friday.

Now, gonna go home and watch the Oscars. Thoughts will likely come later.

Drawing: LG and LG thumbnails...time for some serious catchup on LG this week.

Writing: RP...sob, when will I have time for reindeer story again?

I've heard Gnomeo and Juliet ISN'T THAT BAD. I haven't seen it myself yet but that's what I heard from some reviewers.

Still don't have a plurk nor do I understand plurk...so can't help you there.

I somehow found myself watching it (new MLP) a few nights ago at 3 am. I'm...not sure what to say about it XDb

Yeah, reviews seem to say it's rather cute, which is why I'm interested.

Maybe I'll figure it out sometime...

Is that a good or bad thing? |D

Trust me, as a Shakespeare nerd I am VERY reluctant to see a "kid friendly rendition of one of Shakespeare's tragedies" but if they can make it work power to them.

If you figure it out let me know.

IDK, all I can say is it's really cute and colorful. Plus, weren't you saying something about studying more film or something? Maybe this isn't a good reason to watch it but you never know.

Yeah, occasionally you can do "kids' style Shakespeare" right. It's tough to do right, but possible.

Will do. |D

I've been studying movies on a pretty regular basis, but probably should do some TV, too.

I don't like the style of the new MLT at all, which is a complete turn off because I'm starting to get super stubborn about stuff from my childhood being remade over into newer, hipper styles :P

I took a picture of Sunshine if that helps in your photo endeavers

I think new style stuff can go either way...but yeah, I have no attachment to the old one, so I don't care much about style changes. |D

Yes, any pictures of Sunshine are helpful...thank you! <3

/loves upon you so very, very much ♥

Megan went to go see G&J recently, and she said it's fun but not phenomenal. I'd be willing to go see it with you if you like. :Db

The newest MLP is not the best cartoon I've ever seen, but it's witty, well-written, has well-rounded characters, and is just flat fun. There are very few things that can make me laugh out loud while I'm beating myself to death on the elliptical, but MLP: FIM is definitely one of them.

At least give the first two episodes a chance. :Db

*huuugs* Thanks for offering shoulder-crying spaces and ice cream. |D

Okay, maybe sometime we can set aside time to go see it. :O I'm not expecting phenomenal, but cute and/or fun is good.

Okay, may have to poke at those later. XD

The new MLP requires no knowledge or nostalgia from the old version to enjoy it: I didn't do any of that back when it was in its hayday, no pun intended. It's a legitimate fun show. I recommend at least giving it a try. I realized that the creators actually made a legit character out of what had just been a goofy art mistake, which earns them big points from me |D

Homestuck is pretty hard to get into, from both the size and the fact that it's very slow to get into. My advice is, if you do give a shot, make sure you get as far as the end of Act Two. If you're not into it by then, it's probably not going to be for you.

What do you mean legit character out of goofy art mistake?

Back in episode 1, 4chan noticed that there was a background character who had eyes pointing in different directions. She became super popular and they started calling her Derpy Hooves. Faust found out about it, and they actually showed the character in other episodes, complete with derpy eyes |D

Okay, that's good to know. And yay for fun and enjoyable shows! TV always needs more of those.

Alright. I don't know if I'll ever have the time to dig in that far, but if I do at least I'll know how far I need to get.

First some belated *HUGS*. ♥

Secondly, amazingly (cause I NEVER see movies) I saw G&J... yeah. It was cute was my description of it. XD It's obviously pretty predictable, but I'm pretty sure the creators knew that, so yeah. It was really really cute. Worth seeing. Lol It's also prolly cause I haven't seen like any animated films recently on big screen, but I was enchanted too by the details... they looked so much like real china gnomes. The texture, chips, paint mistakes, moss... I was like *O* a bunch. ...It also takes place in England which gave it massive bonus points for me. XD SO yes.

Thirdly, I really need to sit down and watch more MLP eps. I've seen the first episode and I was shocked to find myself hooked almost instantly. And this is coming from someone who grew up on the two old shows & movies and has, in later years collected a huge box of classic MLP. Although I have bought some of the newer ones. But this show is... *O* For a MLP show it is SOOOOOO good. I never thought Hasbro would have a new show for MLP I could stand to watch. lol

I keep seeing people go on and on about Homestuck. Someone linked me and I tried to have a look but... I just didn't get it. It was really weird and I'm not a fan of the art style, so that killed my interest pretty quick.

Oh, that's good to know! I'll have to get the time to go see it sometime, then. Yeah, obviously the story would be pretty predictable, but cute is still worthwhile.

I know, I just watched the first two eps (since they got linked upthread) and...I can see why people like it. XD It's kind of addictive (and also teeth-rotting cute!)
