Moving things
I've made an animatic version of the Bremen Town storyboard! No sound or music, just trying to fit things together better. Dialogue is included, though.

Since mom had the day off for the holiday, we went and saw 'The King's Speech.' It was definitely an Oscar bait movie, but was still good! Colin Firth was totally convincing. Really drew you in and made you feel the pain he felt about his speaking. I've gotten into the habit of analyzing any new movie I see with a boarder's eye, but at least I learn something new every time. Also talked a bunch with my mom about it once we were done, since she's had a lot of study (and personal experience) with stuttering/stammering problems.

I tend to skip out on the 'Oscar bait' movies when they come around because lol, animation/geeky movie nerd, but I should probably watch them more often, just to see what's going on with them.

I'm starting to think maybe I should stop reading the news or looking at the political blogs that I do, or at least as often. Just seeing how much is continuously wrong in the world and with lots of people is, I think, starting to drain on me. It all feels so immensely large and overwhelming that it in turn makes me feel utterly helpless and fearful. And that in turn makes me cynical. I think maybe I'd be happier if I reduced my intake on that stuff (and I'm almost certain I was happier before I started absorbing more politics.) They say happiness spreads, so if my happiness can make others happier too, then it'd certainly be more worthwhile than cynicism.

Anyway, I got a board test to go to tomorrow. Please wish me luck! I'm really crossing my fingers on this one.

The animation looks fun!

Yeah, I definitely have to avoid watching the news or staying up on politics sometimes. This has the unfortunate downside of making me terribly ignorant, but I really only can handle so much of it before I become depressed. I tend to take things personally and feel like I should fix everything, so until I'm able to manage that better, I have to limit my intake of depressing information. What can you do?

Thank you!

Yeah, pretty much in the same boat. :< The problem with not being ignorant is that it makes you feel responsible, but if you can't take on that responsibility...well then you just feel rotten. Unfortunately, guess there's not much we can do.

Colin Firth. ♥ I shall have to see this movie for myself.

There's only so much I can take of the news. Looking at the headlines in the newspapers, reading a few articles, watching the main evening news show--any more and I go into overload, mostly for the reasons you mentioned. I try to stay up on the main events, but overfocusing just puts me in a funk.

I hope the test goes well~

Can rarely go wrong with Colin Firth!

Yeah. I don't want to fall behind on main events, but thinking about it so much does induce some funk.

Went well as far as I know!
