Gummi ship and Keyblade glider AMV!

Just to start: there's a new Lunargyros page up yesterday, you can read it here.

Ohhhhh man, I FINALLY FINALLY finished this AMV that has eaten my brain for the past few days! Seriously, I don't know what it is about these things, but it just becomes impossible to focus on anything else. Now maybe my brain can get back to the rest of my life. 8D I struggled a bunch on this one...there were a few things that I wanted to do effects-wise, but for whatever reason I just couldn't hack it, even after wrestling with masks for hours. Buuut instead I compromised and was able to get similar effects.

SO YEAH. I've wanted to do a KH AMV or some kind of video about gummi ships and Keyblade gliders for awhile, and then finally heard this song and it totally fit so I had to do it. Have yourself a fun AMV about gliders and gummis...thoughts are greeeatly appreciated!

The scene where Aqua sends Terranort out of the RoD makes me tear up every time, so kudos for including that. I don't know much about AMV'ing but this is beautifully done! :D

No prob!

The program I used for this one is AfterEffects, but that can seem confusing and monsterish from the get-go since it does so many different things. If you've got a mac, I'd say just start with iMovie, which will come with the mac anyway. It's a great starter program for AMVs...easy to use, and can put out some real high-quality stuff given that it's a comes-with-the-comp program. I made both this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6jluFq4GeA) and this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12NPOajEZlQ) AMV with iMovie.

The only problem with iMovie is that you need to make sure that you're using compatible clips with the program... .mov is the best to use since movs are high quality anyway; iMovie won't accept things like .wmv or other Windows-only formats.

Those are both great videos--nice to know I've already got something that'll work well. :) I was thinking iMovie might be what I wanted to start with. Thanks for confirming that and the hint about the file type.

Now to go hunt up clips. XD After I check out the amount of HD space I have. Not to mention playing around with the program a bit.

I think this'll keep me busy for a while. :3

That~ is a freaking awesome... I can't even call it a remake. It's an amazing revamping of a really good old song and your AMV is fantastic. Lovely timing with the clips and use of video. :D I only wish there were more material you could use with Kairi.
