It was made for me by

Also yesterday I spent helping
yamikonumber7 move apartments. It was a hot hot day, so we tired quickly, but prevailed nonetheless. There were brownies and pizza and hilarious moments involved, so that's always good.
I got another egg today. I am really hoping this one hatches.
A Streetcar Named Desire
Watched this at Kia's place yesterday, and ehh...dunno how much I liked it. It was just largely depressing, since none of the characters were very good people (except maybe Stella, but even then she had Severe Issues). Maybe this one would have worked better to see as a stage play, especially since it was shot a lot like a play (little camera movement, all within virtually the same location). Also, maybe it was just the copy I saw, but it was kind of hard to follow what everyone was saying. At least I finally get to see the context for "I have always depended on the kindness of strangers" and "STELLAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Donnie Darko
Honestly, this one was...an odd one. I actually didn't like it much up until the end, which is strange because I didn't quite get the ending, but I think I got it enough. It kept me guessing right up until the end (and even then after). I was expecting a movie about the darkness and insanity of a troubled teenage mind coupled with suburbia's thinly-veiled discomfort, and instead got...the darkness and insanity of time travel coupled with the thinly-veiled discomfort of alternate dimensions. /o__O\ Or all of those things together, probably. Donnie's sometimes childish and sometimes criminal actions do make more sense in the context of him operating in a tangent dimension in which literally the world will end because of him.
Also, Frank was creepy, but that's a given.
Also also, now I FINALLY know the true origin of "Sometimes I doubt your commitment to sparkle motion!"
