The Edge of Stressed
Mehh. A lot has happened within the past week and weekend, and it's only going to get busier. I am just now realizing that my registration for AX may not have gone through as easily as I had hoped. While I'm fairly certain that everything will work out okay once I get there (I *will* get my badge or die trying, dammit...) it's also making me realize that I don't take very good care of my finances. I feel far too immature and naive when it comes to "the real world" enough, and not even keeping a solid record of what I've paid and haven't is not exactly progress towards overcoming that. Again, I'm certain everything will eventually work out (after all, they logically wouldn't be able to give me my artist's table registration unless the full con registration had gone through...) but it's just some stress on top of a bunch of other little things.

Saturday evening didn't go over so well, since work sucked and I found myself severely writer and artist-blocked. It's gotten better since then, but it's not like I've really had time to work on anything anyway. Also, this past week has been kinda rough on the entire house, and I feel like some of that has also seeped into me. As long as I have the energy to keep going (which is waning fast) then I should be okay.

I got my prints made for selling at AX, to the lovely tune of nearly $240. Ouch. I can only hope I make that back at the table. The morals of this story are: 1) never go to Kinkos again because it is evil, and 2) ALWAYS SAVE YOUR LAYERED FILES.

The internship is going okay, although at the moment it's mostly scanning with the occasional storyboard editing. At least one of the producers suggested that I might get paid to do it if I come in some extra hours. And I could definitely use the money right now.

Well, this has been somewhat depressing. But I am determined to have a good time at Anime Expo no matter what! Despite the pressures of preparation and arranging schedules, I know it will be a lot of fun, and I'll try a bunch of new stuff this year. Not sure when I'll write again, but I'll probably do a huge and exciting con report when I get back. ;)

*hug*

Regarding prints, I'll ask [livejournal.com profile] gmfuu if he knows of a cheaper place to get them.

I'm not sure which day exactly I'll be there.

When you did it a few years ago, did they assign you a specific day, or did you just pick one? It seems they're rather disorganized this year...

It was any day for us, but the table was assigned.

Alright, that's what I figured.

I think if I'm going to do it, I'll have the table that first Friday, since I want to do stuff on the other days. ^^

Heheh Cant wait to bother you at ax and comic con. I'll be huging you in my gargoyle costume on saturday.

I know how you feel im like that with my bank stuff too. I don't know how I stay sane:P

Remember if your looking for a place to get cheaper prints ask my friend tabitha at comic con. She does that all the time when selling her art and stuff she lives around you. I would tell you where I get mine done but you would have to drive to riverside :P

I'm not sure it might be listed on her website
