SEA KITTENS
Okay, HOW is it possible that I have not heard of sea kittens until now? This is seriously the most LOLarious thing I've seen in ages. It's also a little frightening because sea kittens come with the knowledge that SOMEONE thought they were a good idea, even a necessary idea. I should really stop giving PETA these hits.

I think my favorite part of the sea kittens site it the sea kittens stories. I was seriously laughing so hard at them I was crying.

They also made me crave fish. Mmmmmm, sea kittens with pistachio crust. Sooo good.

HOLY COW I ACTUALLY MANAGED TO BEAT EBA IN ITS ENTIRETY. o_o Like, all of the songs on Hard Rock level! How the heck did that happen. Surprisingly, the Hard Rock levels were not as difficult for me was Chieftain's were...I dunno why this is. Maybe because the songs were burned into my brain, so just having the buttons be smaller and faster wasn't that much of a stretch?

Regardless, not that I've beaten EBA...what am I gonna do with myself? I guess next is to beat Shadow of the Colossus, but oh man, that game is going to take me forever to beat. D: I can't even make that dumb jump to reach the third colossus yet. It's not really the kind of game I can sit down and play casually, so I end up putting it off for other things...

So at church today I went back to the kid's class and drew all the kids listening to the lesson and playing. It's always really trick to draw kids, because they don't sit still for any longer than two seconds and their proportions are funky. But it was fun! I'll probably do it again next week.

Then the kids went outside and started playing some:

Maaaan, Sunday school has changed SO DANG MUCH since I went there. You have to sign in your kids now, and there's a strict no peanuts/tree nuts rule. They have this really structured way of talking to the kids, and an adult has to go outside and check for snakes in the play yard before anyone can be allowed outside. They didn't do any of that kinda stuff when I was a little kid. Hence the MST3K quote. I wonder how much of that is due to legal problems. D:

I can't remember who it was that said that thinking about sea kittens made them crave land fish.

Wanna say it was an adult swim bump xD

That sounds equally delicious. (And that sounds like something Adult Swim would do. XD)

My opinion of PETA increased even MORE after learning about how they would buy adoptable dogs and cats from shelters and then euthanize them to protect them from the slavery of pet ownership. :Db

SAVE A SEA KITTEN, KILL A LAND KITTEN 8D

Catherine had alerted me to the concept of sea-kittens, but I didn't know that it was a serious idea with a site and a petition and everything... (well, "serious" is a bit subjective here, I think...)

Anyway, it's had me eying the furry creatures that live with us and thinking, "Mmmm... LAND-FISH!" (Fred gets scared and runs away when I do that, whereas Trip and Toby just look at me like I've lost it.)

(Also, if you're going to Conejo CofC, I think the peanuts/tree nuts rule is because there's a family who goes there now whose kids are DEATHLY allergic to them.)

Teh Sea Kitties
Yep, Adult Swim promotes the eating of land fish. Mmmmm....

You can't call them Sea Kittens, darn you. The beauty of the fish fry was the alliteration. What are we going to call it now? Sea-Kitten-Fry just doesn't have the same ring, though I'll admit to enjoying the concept. I plan on celebrating PETA's latest bout of crazy with a lunch at Malibu Seafood sometime. It's the only logical reaction.

Re: Teh Sea Kitties
How about cooked sea kitten? Hmm, maybe it's not the same.

Dude, if you're heading out to Malibu Seafood, lemme know and I'll totally meet you there. Their fried sea kittens are the best.

I know. The scariest part is that they ARE serious. ...Or maybe the scariest part is that I know ten-year-olds on DeviantART who can draw better than what they have in those "sea kittens stories."

I am soooo scaring Fred with LAND-FISH next time I visit. 8D

It's likely. I think the no peanuts/tree nuts rule has actually been there for awhile, but I can't recall who has the allergy. o_O

So I went to the website. You can actually make our own sea kitty there. My sea kitty is here.
