Last night I went and saw Thoroughly Modern Millie with my parents. I've seen the play before in London, and the story's kinda ehh for me, but my little brother was both in it and teching it, and I hadn't seen any of his play work yet. He was props master and one of the tap dancers (the fastest one! XD)

Since I had seen the play before, I brought along my sketchbook to do my homework some quick sketches on. They were a lot more scribbly and wonky than my usual life gesture drawings since the theater was dark and everyone's DAAANCING, but it was very good practice!








I drew my brother dancing at one point! Betcha can't guess which one he is. :D


Well, it turns out that the Disney TD program isn't gonna work out...although not from my end? Alison told me that Disney is only hiring CG people this term, and since I applied for the story department, my submission would get pushed back to next term. I suppose it's good that I now have the extra time to do more to my portfolio and then resubmit for the next round, but man. That was the position I wanted. ._.

I've also applied for a story position at Nickelodeon, which I'd also really like since it's a) not a terrible commute, b) I've heard it's a great place to work, and c) it seems a really good way to transition into the industry. The end of the school is fast coming up...I need a job! >< *crosses fingers*
