Well, I've got one more make-up class for this term. And it's tomorrow night, tomorrow being a Saturday. :/ Urrrgh. I have no clue why this is the case. But then I'll have a week off, and that is always goodness!
In the meanwhile...I have completed Digital Sets stuff! I tried to upload the actual animation, except the file's too big for Photobucket, and I really can't justify putting up something so small on YouTube. Feh. So, have some stills instead.

A wide shot of the hare village. The ambient occlusion pass helped a lot, and I FINALLY got the paint effects working. Although to fix it, I think I'd put in a different background plate, blur up the leaf shadows a whole lot, and perhaps try and add in more grass...assuming the file could handle it.

Closer shot of the "hero house." I think I need to do smooth or relax normals on the models so that they look less faceted. And I like the colors, but stronger values would be nice. Didn't have time to render out a ZDepth pass.

The interior! Somehow it ended up being a lot darker than I anticipated. :/ I probably need to up all of the lights in the scene, especially the main one coming through the window. Aaaack lighting is haaaaard.
I've basically done everything in both scenes: the layout and design, the modeling, the textures, the lighting, rendering and compositing. Programs I used for the final scenes included Maya, ZBrush, HeadusUV, 3D Body Paint and Photoshop. The teacher helped a lot on my camera moves and problem-solving lighting issues. In the end, this was a LOOOOT of work (especially modeling and texturing), so I'm glad to have it done for now!
Also, this is something I forgot to post earlier. For another class, I had to create a personal portfolio site, so...now I have my own site again!
Visit www.griffinscribbles.com! It's got a lot of art, most of which people've probably already seen before, and I need to add more stuff to it. But at least I have a site!
The wolf spider still isn't done. Even solving the initial fur problems, I've run into new ones; and problems that would involve completely redoing the UVs. D: Uuuugh. DO NOT WANT.
