Woohoo!
After working for a bajillion and a half hours, I am finally finally FINALLY done with the redesign of www.jerrythefrogproductions.com ! *does a big fat happy dance* All of the links are working, all of the puppet shows are up, and I'm fairly satisfied with it, although it took me waaaaay too long to finish. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to add the forums like I wanted. I suppose I could if I really tried, but after running into problem after problem after problem, I got fed up with trying to figure it out. If anyone out there considers themselves an expert at PHP and MySQL and may have a solution to my problems, feel free to email me, since I'd still like those forums. ;)

And in the meanwhile...wow! More good news! (And some bad news...)
First the bad news. I got my first speeding ticket yesterday, which sucked arse. Mostly I was embarassed and angry with myself, since I got caught in the space I KNEW that policemen ALWAYS hung out in, and I was going faster than I needed to trying to get around a truck. It was a stupid mistake and I'm an idiot for letting myself get that ticket. I'll just need to work it off with online traffic school so that it doesn't go on my record or insurance...the insurance in particular. Ick. XP

Onto better things! I went in for an interview this past Monday at Porchlight Animation, and I got an internship! Yay! XD It's not paid, and it's only on Tuesdays and Thursdays (with possible other days) but it's still a lot better than nothing. The office was actually surprisingly small, and people there seemed nice, at least from a first glance. Parking will be a pain, but when is it not in LA? I'll most likely be doing tons of busywork (copying, weee...) but at least it'll be in an environment I'm more comfortable in, and I'll be able to see how the industry works and make connections with people there. After all, that's what I'm really there for.
Also, the Sony internship is still a possibility. And hey, since I have the other three days of the week open, I'd love to be able to get both. That way I could have experience in both TV and feature films, which would be very educational and look great on a resume. XD

Otherwise, life is going quite well, and I'm really enjoying my summer. We went to the beach this last Sunday, and I did some figure drawing (which I really needed to do) and just hung out with everyone. I've been trying to play DDR on a regular basis for exercise, and I've been practicing Maya again to get a feel for it. I started modeling my own character, and despite the numerous mistakes it has so far, it's much better than I could have done last time I was trying to teach myself. ;) I'm also preparing for a bunch of portfolio reviews coming up soon (yikes!) which means I need to finish getting those comic pages together. Can't wait for Anime Expo this year! XD

Going to go see Revenge of the Sith this weekend with my family, and hopefully I'll see it again in the near future for puppet show purposes. Also, my brothers' play is this weekend, so that'll be interesting to watch. Last year they did an incredible job, so I'm looking forward to this year's performance.

Oof, I'm getting hungry...must get dinner sooooon...

Operator status Mysteriously quiet all of a sudden...

Maya PLE Comprehension status: 12% I started the head of my dragon character model. He ended up kinda disjointed, which may have to do with the fact that I started with a polygonal object, converted it to a subdivision object, and THEN converted it to a NURBS object. Otherwise, he looks okay, and I need to start on the body next.

Website Reconstruction status: 100%!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Drawing: Final Fantasy X fanart, comic pages for submissions (from both Lunargyros and The Artifactory) and getting ideas for other KH2 fanarts

Writing: Nothing really.

Current Mood: happy
Current Music: Kingdom Hearts - Hollow Bastion

Hi, I know you don't know me, but I must say, I've stumbled on the site, and I'm quite impressed. Crude drawings of handpuppet versions of beloved characters with jokes relating every single facet of the works involved, including the fanfic community... not to sound too much like a fanboy, but I do love creativity.
