WAAAAALL-EEE
OMG YOU GUYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYSSSS

GO SEE WALL-E

GO SEE IT

I am still so tired since I didn't get home until 3:00 in the morning after the midnight showing and now I'm up early again for school, BUT IT WAS WORTH IT. I could gush for awhile about the movie, but just go see it! Such a great testament to what you can actually do with animation, and what you can do when you don't bother trying to find this magic movie formula and just TELL the STORY. Wall-E was such a lovable, endearing character, and it was great seeing EVE grow as a character throughout the movie. Uh, I won't spoil anything, but yeah I never would've imagined that there could be a worse fate for a robot than getting crunched up or destroyed, and then I was proved wrong and it totally got you right in the heart. (No, it doesn't end on that "worst fate.") Just NNNNNNGH, such love!

Also, if nothing else it's worth going to go see "Presto" before the start of the movie. The entire audience was rolling in the aisles with laughter.

Maybe I'll write something more detailed after seeing it again. I certainly wouldn't be adverse to seeing it again! *hinthintwinkwink*

Presto was hysterical and Wall-E was amazing. Thank-you, Pixar. Thank-you.

It was honestly just BRILLIANT. Just Alec pointing to his mouth with that look on his face like GIVE ME A CARROT NOW was priceless.

Gaaaaaah I wish I could work for Pixar ;_;

Just got back from seeing it and it was BETTER BEYOND EXPECTATIONS!

This was one of those movies that the trailer made it look cute and it just blew my mind! I had a great audience too so I didn't feel like a schmuck at all the things I laughed at. But I felt like crying at the end regarding Wall E's...ya know....

(SPOILER FOR PEOPLE READING COMMENTS)

STILL SPOILER......

And knowing that this is a Disney movie I keep wondering how the heck did he all of a sudden remember? I mean his motherboard was in pretty bad damage last time I checked...

AWWWUH your icon is made of cute!

Pixar is pretty good at marketing their movies without giving too much away, but YEAH, SERIOUSLY. I don't think we had many kids at our showing since it was a midnight showing, but the theater was pretty full anyway and everyone was laughing at everything.

SPOILERY REPLY

I don't know, I was kind of wondering that myself. Although I think the point was that Wall-E remembered himself when EVE held his hand...when he "felt" that connection with her again. Thinking about it, it kind of raises some interesting questions about the soul and body transplants. If your heart and brain and limbs are all replaced...how much of you is still you? And I think the point was that Wall-E was not who he was because of the parts that made him up, but because of that connection and love he had with EVE, and her demonstrating that connection was what "brought him back," as it were.

For the suspension of disbelief I will allow the fact that robots have emotions like humans....

but it does bring some interesting questions and I think I can understand that theory pretty well...but from a technical standpoint it does seem odd that you'd remember just because of a connection than the hardrive itself.

Makes me wish anytime my computer crashed that i'd just have a connection with my computer...LOL not in that way tho...

Yeah, but if you think about it, the fact that robots could have emotions at all should supposedly be "impossible." Yet the movie made it totally believable. I guess I'm still kinda thinking on a Kingdom Hearts level of that your memories are not necessarily in your head or heart, but more your links with other people. XD So it'd have to be the same with Wall-E.

Gotta loooooove your computer! XD
