Through a strange series of internet browsing, I came across this response Anne Rice gives to critics of one of her book series.

If I EVER become that pretentious or arrogant about my writing/art, PLEASE shoot me. Multiple times. With a flamethrower. I mean, I completely understand the bond creators have with their creations, but this is just a little...hyper-defensive. Okay, it's *extremely* hyper-defensive.

Moving right along...

Hmm, work will be done in half an hour, and it's the weekend, yay! XD This Sunday I'm hoping to go to the beach with friends and do some figure drawing. I really need to build up my portfolio, and figure drawing is usually the best way to go about it. Plus, I haven't been to the beach in forever. ^^ Otherwise, I'm still working on quite a few things. Observe:

Operator status: Busy, but only because the other person had to leave early and I'm by myself.

Maya PLE Comprehension status: 6% I've completed the Polygon and NURBS modeling tutorials over again...and was able to get through them *much* faster, thankfully. I'm going to try modeling my own character once I finish all the tutorials. Hooray for having slightly more confidence with 3D software! ^^

Website reconstruction status: 95% Actually, this isn't entirely true: I *have* worked on the website, and quite a lot this week. I just don't want to give an update until it is 100% done. I basically went through the site, wrote down everything that needed fixing (two pages' worth of broken links, yikes...) and have been making all of the corrections. Most of the very large problems have been fixed (as many may have been noticed!) and mostly all that remain are little broken images. The end is in sight! XD

Drawing: Just finished a KH fanart, and started a FFX fanart. Also, I'm on page 4 of my RSOM 6 entry, with ideas for other drawings both original and fanart in mind. Phew! I love having time and energy to draw. ^^

Writing: Still nothing much.
