There was a new Lunargyros page on Tuesday; you can check it out here. Next week will be a two-page update!
I feel like the only thing I have to show these days is more schoolwork. B| That said...have another dump of school-related stuff, I guess?!
Uh oh, EVOL SPACE CLOWNS ARE BAAAAAAACK. D: Since we're actually starting to move on to more finalized designs and turnarounds, I thought I'd put up some of those.

Axel seemed to really like this particular style, sooooo that's what I went with. I still intend to include the popcorn monsters and lion/tiger riders (only now the lions and tigers are, uh, huge or something. XD)

Turnarounds! This is Shorty, the littlest evil alien clown. Awwwwwwwuh. He likes petting the popcorn monsters and killing your family.

This is Bubbles, one of the biggest evil alien clowns. He likes balloons. Maybe he likes them TOO MUCH.

This is...Macy. He/She/It is hugenormous. I...don't really know what I was thinking here. I doodled some giant creature thing with teeny little tiptoe legs because I guess I was thinking of one of those giant clown balloons at those Thanksgiving parades that I've never been to. Either way, Axel absolutely loved it. Soooooo, he gets a turnaround, too. o_o
He needs to battle Clover, although I actually think Clover would win. Clover just has to push him over. :/
MOVING OOOOOOON!

For Lighting and Rendering 2 class, which I am SO NOT PAYING ANY ATTENTION TO RIGHT NOW AH HAHAHA. 8DOops. We're actually doing a final project for that class, holycrap. But for last homework we were supposed to do a paintover of our first lighting pass on our project (apparently I way overdid it for a first pass and put in too many lights?!) to give an idea of what we'd like the finish to be. I decided I wanted to do the pool room from the short manga that Wyna and I collabed on (I eventually want to do something with that story!) so it's supposed to be all horror-esque. The geometry was built in Maya, the textures were done in PS with photomanips, and then it was painted over again in PS.
...I kinda like this idea of building something in Maya and then painting over it in PS, at least for stuff like interiors or cityscapes or architecture. Because, assuming you're a fast poly modeler and not worrying about UVs, it's easier to make architecture in Maya...and your perspective is INSTANTLY CORRECT! 8D

We've moved on to environments in digital painting class! This is just my first color pass; still have to add details and I may try and paint out the outline so that it works just on a value basis. It's Lyle's Zoo again! I really wish I had a tangible, working story for these characters, because I like them, but they remain a mystery...

Not for a class, but here's a work-in-progress cap of the wolf spider from Calnavory. Still fairly low-res, at least by ZBrush standards. I am having a bitch of a time getting the subtools to cooperate so that I can actually add the EYES. X( Otherwise, the model is all ONE object, with no tris or n-gons in the geometry! *fistpump*
And in contrast, I am totally sucking at matchmoving and do NOT even want to think about it. 8D;; Holy crap, halfway through this term already...WHERE IS MY YEAR GOING. HOW IS IT ALREADY MAY.
OH OH, and because I totally forgot to say so earlier:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY,
