Today's Forecast... (BLOGGER 2-23-04)
...Polar opposites!

First the bad: Pepperdine is evil and needs to die a slow and torturous death involving horny beluga whales and three million paper cuts. Why is this, you ask? Because I am sitting here at work when I should be at home. Maybe the school's higher-ups haven't been paying attention to the national news lately or, I don't know, looking out the WINDOW, but three roads going into Malibu are blocked by mudslides and boulders the size of houses. This leaves only one way in or out, which of course is going to be jam-packed with every other person trying to get to or leave Malibu. And Kanan is not exactly the safest road in the world. I'd rather not have a giant falling rock smash me to a bloody pulp, thanks. But God forbid the school lose money from students and employees on account of the fact that Southern California cannot handle rain for more than five inches at a time. ARGH. I am annoyed, and I don't even have it as bad as most people.
Did I mention the fact that this goes against offical University policy? (The school must close if there are three or more roads closed...which there are.) I've only been at the operator for 20 minutes, and already I got a call from someone asking who they can complain to about this. Whoever made this (stupid) decision is going to get a lot of flack for it. Or maybe they should get awarded a position with the Bush administration for Outstanding Incompetence in the Face of Reality.

...Right, that's out of my system. On to good things!

Acchan is the awesomest person on the planet Everything, and bought a shiny new huge flat-screen TV! It's the sweetest thing ever! It's nearly twice as large as our old TV, and with much sharper picture. Best of all, we can hook up a laptop directly to the TV and watch downloaded fansubs on the big screen! XD XD Yesterday we watched two episodes of Gankutsuo; an amazing show that's like tabasco sauce for your eyes...it hurts like hell, but boy is it good! We also watched Kingdom Hearts II and Advent Children trailers that had been downloaded...no more hunching around a laptop screen! Acchan, you rock hardcore! XD

Also, I heard this rumor on the still-lightyears-away live-action Evangelion movie. Peter Jackson as director? With Weta doing special effects once again? It's like I died and went to heaven! Having the people that made Lord of the Rings the masterpiece it is do Eva would rock like nobody's business. I know it's just a rumor, and it's quite likely that Peter Jackson won't be able to direct Evangelion because of his schedule with King Kong...but still! Talk about answered prayers!

I am so ready for Spring Break next week it's not even funny. (Even if I will be working three of those days...meh.)

Operator status: Very busy. Gee, I wonder why...

Other statuses: Not much change. I hope to get a significant amount done on the website during the break. At this point, I just want it done and out of the way!

Drawing: Did more on the KH fanart I'm working on yesterday. Haven't had much of an idea what to draw during class, so that's mostly doodles.

Writing: I finished the Chain of Memories transcript! Woohoo! And now I'm up to even worse things...I've started a Kingdom Hearts fanfic, just because I couldn't ignore the fanfic bug any longer. I'll probably post the first chapter on oh-so-overcrowded ff.net today. (Under the pen name OSTOCOM.)
