Art dump again!
The Loanmonster is rearing its ugly head again, just as nasty as before, and this time it's cast Sap on me. Not the kind that Esuna can fix, either. Won't bore you with the details of it now, because I'm not certain how it's going to turn out yet. At the moment, I'm just trying not to panic or invite all those worst case scenarios into my brain. Instead, have an art dump!

More of our figure drawing class stuff. Just messing around with inking style, per teacher suggestions.

And more of these boards from long ago. I don't even remember what movie snippet we watched it from...I think it was called The Trial? It was a freaky scene though, and we watch the weirdest movies. o_O Also, I was just randomly still trying to decide on what to do for Gawain's costume in the corner.

This is just a small snippet of the boards we did, but we also watched some of the animated scenes from Pink Floyd's The Wall. Wow, those were a mind trip. I should watch the rest of that movie sometime, but I'm kind of afeared to. :P (And no, we didn't board the flower sex scene. There was actually a lot of focus on the dove-turned-warbird scene, instead.)

And now for something COMPLEEEETELY different! Whereas storyboarding is very free-form, experimental drawing, our Visual Communication class is very rigid, draw-the-lines-exactly-this-way drawing. I think both classes can be beneficial in their own way, but damn if VisComm doesn't require SO MUCH work. D: Moreso than any of my other classes, I think.
Anyways, pretty much all term we just drew primitive shapes, but towards the end we finally got to use those shapes to make a simple character. The teacher really liked my designs, and it was the first time I really had fun on an assignment for that class, so I thought I'd share. It's a chomper monster thing!

AAAAAAAND here it is! My final project for Intro to Maya and Texture Mapping I! OH MAN I was not expecting this to be as much of a pain, particularly with the textures. I spent waaay too long on the procedurals when I should've been focusing on other things. I finally got the displacement maps to work, but not without much pain. And the lighting is kind of ehh, but we only covered that briefly, so I'm not worrying too much about it. Heck, I think we have a whole two classes just for lighting later on.

Yes, I still did fanart in 3D. This was actually the first thing I practiced UV mapping on, and somehow it was so much easier than what I had to do for the Mayan pyramid. Except for the bottom half of the head, I'm actually pleased with how it came out. I wanna rig and animate him alter, too. X3

Aaaand also, there's a new Lunargyros page right here, yo.

Now I'm going to go snag lunch, and make a trip to my parents' place with more of my personal junk to move. Blargh. :P

Drawing: I've got lots of ideas and many projects to work on, but I'm just suffering from a bout of struggling right now. UGH.

Writing: Sporkings and MWWBK. Glad school is pretty much over for now!
