Munchy-Crunchy (BLOGGER 11-10-04)
Well, after the election results last week, I wrote a very long blog in which, as would be expected, I ranted and raved against the world and how at least half of the population of America was idiotic, misinformed or half-dead. And then blogger was kind enough to EAT the whole post after I spent over an hour on it. Needless to say, I was rather unhappy. I probably would've chucked the computer out the window if it hadn't been the work computer. But perhaps it was for the best? I guess we'll never know.

Anyways, in order to avoid becoming pissed off at the world again, I am staying away from any television news, and magazines and newspapers when I can help it. I know that's not a terribly healthy attitude, but I think this is one point in history when I'd rather live in a fluffy world of sunshine and posies than be informed. And Canadian real estate is looking better and better all the time.

The situation with moving hangs by a thread, by which I mean we may or may not now have a house to move into. If all goes as we are hoping it will, we will be approved for the house and get our relocation fee by the end of next week (or this week, even better!) The house we want is a four-bedroom, 1.75 baths place, although the bedrooms are a bit small. There is a very cute little backyard, lots of shelf space for our ginormous anime DVD collection, nice new kitchen appliances, and gasp of all gasps, PARKING for ALL OF US! This fact alone is enough to make the place desirable...the sooner I stop having to walk several blocks through sketchy neighborhood at 11:00 at night, the better. If this goes through, we're looking at moving as soon as Thanksgiving. That'll be about the mental equivalent of getting teeth pulled: it'll hurt like hell, but it'll be over with fast.

Otherwise, the brief respite I had with school is ending, as projects are piling up again. This semester is going by a lot faster than I expected, which is a very good thing considering how much work is involved. If we do indeed move *before* Christmas break, it means I will be looking forward to the end of the semester even more. ^^

Man, I've been craving some Wolf's Rain for awhile now...

Operator status: Fairly busy. Meh.

Maya PLE comprehension status: 24% ...But they were caught by an unexpected firewall!...

Macromedia Studio comprehension status: 40% Learned quite a bit about coding and why frames look butt-ugly. Which probably isn't much in the grand scheme of things, but it means something to me, dangit!

Website reconstruction status: 55% Yes, you heard that correctly...I think I can safely deduct that I am MORE than halfway done! Joy of eternal joys! XD Several main pages and the super-short Yoshi section are done. What's been occupying a lot of my time is the Rent-A-Puppet section, which is being super-condensed and changed, and involved direct HTML editing instead of just cut-n-paste. It took me about two hours on Sunday to figure out that I was doing something extremely simple wrong, but once that was fixed, it was right into four straight ours of writing source code. And that'll probably be what I continue to do once I get home tonight. ;)

Drawing: Been inking various Lunargyros pages; will hopefully begin toning them soon. (Probably as soon as I'm 3/4ths done with the website or so.) I've also been coloring a Kingdom Hearts 2 fanart during class, which is very close to being done. XD

Writing: My paper on Rousseau for Great Books. As much as I'd rather write about what a whiny bastard he was, I suppose I have to be more academic. XP
