I want a shotgun... (BLOGGER 10-30-04)
...So that I can SHOOT the people who are currently working on our roof. And when we say "working on the roof," we mean tossing concrete and shingles into our makeshift-swamp-of-a-back-porch, and using loud annoying saws and hammers and walking with their big heavy boots on gravel and making so much noise that a week-long DDR tournament couldn't block it out. ARGH. It feels like one of those guys is going to fall through the roof on my head any second now.

Actually, I don't want to shoot the guys on our roof. They're up there doing hard work for what is probably crap pay. I want to shoot the city government for deciding that rentership is no longer an option IN THIS ENTIRE DISTRICT, and forcing anyone that can't afford to buy to move...in other words, ethnic zoning. I want to shoot them for deciding to start working on OUR roof first, sometimes at eight-friggin-AM, and not giving us our relocation fees because they shoved cattle prods where the sun doesn't shine.

The sooner we get out of this apartment and into a nice, larger house with decent parking, the better. Yes, it's going to be complete hell having to pack everything up once again, especially considering it looks we'll be moving even *before* Thanksgiving, depending on when we're given the relocation fee. But it'll be better than living here, where the management is smart enough to misspell "apologize." Three times.

Now that I think about it, I wonder if I spelled "misspell" correctly...

No status bars today, as I'm not at work and for some reason, the bold/italic/font options are mysteriously absent on my mac. o_O Off to go work on JTFP until we begin with D&D...
