Oy... (BLOGGER 10-24-04)
...Where to begin? Lots of stuff is happening, and it will only get more hectic in the future.

Well, we found out on Thursday that because of our apartment complex coming under new management, we will have to move AGAIN. They are turning the apartments into condos, and renting will no longer be an option. Since none of us can afford to buy a house now (and I am *not* buying a house while still in school) we have to look for a new place to rent. We have to technically be out of the apartment by next April or May, but we're looking at moving as early as Christmas break. Why? Because that's the only time all of us are not busy with work or school, and graduation is an extremely sucky time to move.

So, the bad news is that my Christmas break will not be as relaxing as I thought. I still intend to spend about a week and a half with my family, but that other week is going to be spent moving. And honestly, the thought of moving again makes my blood run cold. We had *just* moved six months ago, and were finally becoming comfortable in the apartment. And to pack it all up again...during the time I was planning on relaxing...is extremely and totally unfun. Not to mention the fact that I may have to reconsider moving back in with the 'rents, depending on how far away we are or how much rent is. However, it's unlikely that'll happen.

The good news is that we've learned from experience, and that moving this time around should be significantly easier, 1) because we've already gotten rid of a bunch of junk, 2) we have more people to help, and 3) we don't have to worry about graduation. Also, we get our full deposit back on the apartment, which means we don't have to disinfect the whole place again. My fingernails rejoice! Also, we'll be getting a significant amount of cash from the apartment complex for relocation fees, which means we can HIRE MOVERS (yay!) for the really heavy, bulky stuff, and also have some extra set aside for the first few months' rent. If we do hire movers, we can probably move the bulk of everything in a day or two, instead of over a week, which will make everyone happier.

So...it's still too early to know the details of our new place and how we'll go about moving there, but for the moment we've at least already started the process of looking. Go us for getting on the ball immediately! I'm in a state of flux at the moment...on the one hand, moving all over again makes me want to throw up styrofoam. However, if we end up with a nicer, bigger house with MORE PARKING and no noise of car alarms going off at 4-frelling-am, then this is probably a blessing in disguise.

In the meanwhile, work and school continue on relentlessly. I was able to get my screenplay pages done yesterday (yay!) which leaves more free time for today. However, I can already tell that this coming week and the next are going to be killer. I'll have to finish tons of homework early, since this weekend is going to be completely packed between Halloween parties and D&D and all the other activities we have planned.

I've been working extremely hard at redoing the puppet shows, and it has paid off! All of the movie puppet shows are completed (minus typo scanning), which leaves all of the Sideshow section, one more Guest show, and one more Anime show; most of which are relatively short and easy to do. Hooray for getting done the seemingly-endless busywork!

Which then leaves the hard parts... @_@ On top of doing the puppet show sections, what will be even harder is figuring out how to organize the rest...whether or not to save William_2022 from a bandwidth-less fate at the hands of Geocities and incorporate the pages back into JTFP, which will require some creative designing in order to conserve space. Plus, I still want to tackle a flash intro, although I've had next to no practice... T_T

Then again, I suppose that even if stuff doesn't look perfect the first time it goes up, I'll at least have the knowledge to go back later and fix it up. ;-P
