No Need for Edison (BLOGGER 9-13-04)
Well, turns out I was wrong about that Middle School show that was being filmed on campus...the "codename" actually *was* the name for the show, 'Zoey 101.' While that show is being made by Nickelodeon, it's not coming out until January. Which, I suppose, would make more sense. Especially since the setting is apparently an "oceanside boarding school" instead of a middle school. That I think I can handle; the fact that it does star Britney Spears' little sister is another story. Hopefully she won't sing. We watched the "Unfabulous" show or whatever on Sunday long enough to know that the main character sang about as well as a howler monkey.

Sunday we also played D&D for the first time for five hours! (Along with figuring out our stat sheets for two hours before that...) It was a lot of fun, especially when unexpected things kinda happened, like my rogue halfling character stealing the only shirt of the human sorcerer and dropping it down the outhouse pit. XD Hijinks ensue! The game also helped to take our minds off the fact that the power went out for three or four hours. Hooray for being able to entertain ourselves without electricity! The power came back on just as we started to break out the candles, which was good, because the heat would've become unbearable at night. T_T But all in all, our first D&D experience was interesting, well-played and tiring! We'll just have to make sure and set aside a full day next time we want to play again.

Otherwise, it's homework, homework and more homework. Because of D&D I didn't really do any reading for Journalism, which means I probably did really poorly on the quiz today. T_T I need to do some more reading in Milton today at work, because the more work I get done on the job, the less I'll have to do at home when I would rather be doing about five other things.
