Making Light panned FanLib pretty heavily, too. Turns out treating authors like idiots yet still hoping to con them into making you money doesn't work. Who knew?

It sucks to feel behind. One of the things that was kinda rough about grad school for me was that I went into it expecting to do something I'd spent years assuming was just as naturally a part of me as breathing. Then I'd run into a dozen people in every class who were better at it than I was. Not the warm fuzzy different-kind-of-talent-that-complements-yours they try to sell you in elementary school, but straight up better-than, across the board. Getting used to that was harder than the actual work.
