I'll win a Tony one day
There's another Lunargyros page up! And speaking of...

So yeah, I guess I have now officially finished drawing all of Lunargyros. I'll probably post some stuff here about self-publishing when I get it all figured out, considering there's still time for the rest of it to be posted.

To be honest, I haven't noticed as much as I thought that it was done, as I've been attempting to fill that void with something else or other. I guess that's part of my problem...I've been so used to having some long-term project I can work on, I don't feel comfortable now not having it to do. That, and at least with Lunargyros, I felt like I could draw and write whatever I wanted...now I feel like whatever I do next I need to do "right" or "amazing" or whatever adjective so that it'll actually go towards job-finding. Now I feel like everything I think up is tempered by that thought of "will this sell?"

I guess what I really need to do is let myself just be with finishing Lunargyros, and not try to find myself another huge project right away. It took a couple of years for Lunargyros to develop, and five years to finish, so I just have to learn some patience. But man it's still so weird to actually be done with something this long. I think this is the longest I have ever spent on a continuous project...even more than my Redwall comic or Snow Phoenix.

Okay, aside from that musing...

Here's the next episode of Kia and I's Let's Play! From now on we're going to start dividing them into smaller chapters and posting them more frequently; should make things easier on everyone.

A couple new waking-up drawings are here...

And finally, [livejournal.com profile] teg_plays_games coerced me into drawing this. @_@

The Nuckelavee is an Orkney fae with the combined body of half a human and a horse, fins or flippers for legs, and no skin. Therefore, all its muscles and veins are exposed. The horse part of the Nuckelavee typically only has one large eye, although sometimes the human part does, too.

The Nuckelavee remains invisible when underwater, but when it comes on land, it takes on this grotesque form and kills livestock, crops and your family with sickness, plagues, droughts and natural disasters.

So naturally, I had to be a horrible person and draw a My Little Pony version of it!
