I was going to type up more, but to put it simply, today sucked. Here's hoping tomorrow doesn't suck.
So instead, let's just go straight to today's movie.
Fargo
Considering how drab it looked and violent this movie was, there was something just...inexplicably charming about it. It's probably all in the characters and actors (I saw William H Macy and went THE SHOVELER! :DDD) There's something darkly amusing in the sheer normalcy of the characters...how everyone is at best mediocre, and at worst incompetent at their job, but still maintain an air of pleasantness. Surrounded by multiple homicides, everyone still refuses to behave as if things are that far out of the ordinary, and maybe that says something about people in general. The hero policewoman ends her day seeing a guy stick his partner into a wood chipper...and yet when she gets home, she just talks to her husband about stamps. And it all seems perfectly believable, because the characters talk and act like how normal people talk and act (if not painfully midwestern!) You can't help but be entertained by it.
Drawing: More of the same
Writing: I am...trying to decide what to write next. This may be tricky...
