I was also going to color this with watercolor (which would be appropriate), only to discover that I had packed my water, paper and brushes but no paints. 8| DURRRRR. So, no painting for me. At least the sketch is okay.

AND THEN THE SHOW. HOLY COW, that was one seriously awesome show. And we were just seeing it from the back, so we didn't get the full layered effect/the sound going in our direction, and it was still awesome. It opened with the synchronized water and lights, and then went into a whole bunch of the movies, starting with The Little Mermaid and getting into Aladdin and Pocahontas. They had a bunch of scenes from Pixar movies, including recent ones like Wall-E and Up, which made me glee. They also had a bunch of scenes from Fantasia and Fantasia 2000, including the whales, spring sprite and Sorcerer's Apprentice!Mickey.
For the whole danger/villain sequence, they started it off with a shot from The Old Mill, which is WAAAY oldschool and I almost didn't recognize it. They also included Chernabog (which someone else in the audience recognized, yay!) and some HBoND scenes, like the Hellfire song holy crap. Hellfire + the firebird = AAAAH EPIC. The parts with pyrotechnics I actually had to shield my eyes because they were SO bright and so hot, but that coupled with the fountains gave this amazing lava effect. They finished it off with the stampede scene from Lion King, which was really heartbreaking since they took it all the way up to Mufasa's death. D:
And of course, they then build up to a happier ending, with a montage of romance shots and shots from more of the classics. Of course, the entire thing was incredible to watch, and it totally kept my attention for the whole half hour. (I think it's just a little bit longer than Fantasmic? Not sure.) Definitely epic, totally beautiful to watch, and next time I go back I'm going to make sure to go early so that I can snag a fast pass of the good seating area. 8D Someone come with me again!
Also, anyone know if the soundtrack for WoC is floating around somewheres?
COMPLETELY UNRELATED to the above; guess I may as well do me some bandwagon-hopping and try this meme. I may not have enough fandoms or something to make it work, I dunno. I'll just make up answers:
1. The first character I fell in love with:
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now:
3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t:
4. The character I love that everyone else hates:
5. The character I would shag anytime:
6. The character I'd want to be like:
7. The character I'd slap:
8. A pairing that I love:
9. A pairing that I despise:
10. Favorite character:
11. What are my five favorite things about the fandom.
12. What are my five least favorite things about the fandom.
13. Who are my five favorite characters.
14. Who are my five least favorite characters.
15. What are my five favorite pairings.
16. What are my five least favorite pairings.
17. Which character are you most like.
18. What is my deep, dark fandom secret.
