For some reason there are a bunch of deer around here lately. Not that deer are anything unusual around my place, but they usually only come out in droves at night, as there's too many people and cars and noise during the day. But I just saw a ton, kind of cheerily chowing down in those little narrow dividers in the middle of the street. There's either not that much to eat up in the canyons lately, or the deer have just stopped caring and figure all the cars are going to stop for them anyway. :/a

Speaking of wildlife, I've noticed on occasion a three-legged coyote wandering close to our houses. I think he should be named Tripod.


Also, I'm now realizing I'm going to be alone in the house a bunch this summer...for almost a week in June since the family is going to Mexico, and then again for a week in July when they go to Texas. It's kind of nice that I wasn't be made to go on the trips (aside from the fact that I have work, mom herself even said "We're just visiting our family in Texas and no one your age is going to be there, so you probably don't wanna go and be bored the whole time"). Although I'm not certain how I feel about being alone in the house that long. Hmmm.
