Cheetos = evil
There's a new Lunargyros page up from yesterday; you can read it here.

Over the weekend, I finally caved in and joined [livejournal.com profile] daisychainrpg as Sora! XD I've never done an LJ RP before, so I am getting the hang of it (mostly I'm still afeared of time constraints), but dang, it is fun. Of course, it helps that pretty much all of the players there are awesome, too. ♥

And to all dudes playing in such: I'll probably be online again for chatness/figuring out what Sora and Roxas will be up to Thursday afternoon or evening. :O

Well, we got our schedules for term five today. We get two electives this term (both analog) so those are still trying to be worked out, but if I get the classes I asked for then it'll look like this:

Sunday:
Character Design - 4:00-7:00

Monday:
Digital Painting - 7:00-10:00

Thursday
Lab time - 1:00-4:00
Dynamic Effects 1 - 7:00-10:00

Friday:
Lab time - 1:00-4:00
Matchmoving and Integration - 4:00-7:00

Saturday:
Compositing with Shake - 1:00-4:00

Lighting and Rendering 2 - ?!?!?!?!

- I actually wanted to take the anatomy class, but it was at the same time as one of the labs, and nooooo, there was no room in any other labs. (Personally, I think that's bullshit; there's always half the people missing from lab anyway 'cause they're lazy asses) but I have to get registered for something or other. X( And I really do want to take Digital Painting, too; it was my second choice. I just felt I needed anatomy, and Figure Drawing is during another class I have, and Gesture Drawing isn't available that term. It's like this school is determined to not let me take a figure drawing class, even though every teacher goes STUDY FROM LIIIIFE. WTF, school. And man, if I could've taken anatomy, I would've made it a four-day week instead of a five-day week. Feh.
- Still: no morning classes! No having to get up at 6:00 to get here on time! WOOOOOO
- Of course, the reason why I asked for Character Design is 100% because I want to learn good character design, and has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that the teacher is named Axel. Yes. Of course. :D
- Apparently, the Lighting 2 class is ?!?!?!?! because it will be an online course. Jeremy's going to be in Spain or something, and they can't get any other teachers, so we're taking the thing online. Errr....oookay, strange. Dunno how I feel about that. Lighting I already struggle with; generally online courses are missing that extra bit that helps you not struggle, like, oh, a teacher present to help you. D:

Ehh, I'll admit I'm kind of ready for this term to be over. I've felt weird these past few months...like, disconnected from everyone. I can't get myself excited about Lighting, Skinning is fine but has lots of technical babble that I barely comprehend, and while Sculpture can be fun, the fun factor is more often than not outweighed by the stress factor. (I need to go buy more brass tubing, wire and clay for those wings tomorrow, too...) We just started Timing for Characters (actually, it's the learn-to-animate-a-four-legged-animal class) and that looks to be fine; not as much work as I was expecting. So really most of what I'm having fun with is Character Animation, and especially ZBrush, which I wasn't expecting to be so fun. So...yeah, I just, want break to come now. Maybe it's just mounting stress or something. D:

Completely unrelated: I saw two of the new Cheetos commercials today, and WTF are you THINKING, Cheetos. I already don't like Cheetos particularly, but just two commercials made me actively hate them now. They made Chester into this short and really creepy kind of shady voyeur, or something. And the only message I see from these commercials is, "If you eat Cheetos, you'll be a total jerkwad! :D" It makes me want to lobby against the social ills of Cheetos.

Therefore, I implore my flist:
DON'T BE A JERKWAD. DON'T EAT CHEETOS!

Drawing: A wide variety of...stuff. LG pages, little character guys.

Writing: Not much time for scripts lately.
