All kindsa ups and downs all arounds...

Sadness and badness first:

My family leaves for Italy tomorrow, while Daniel leaves for Germany today. I'm going to miss them all, and I got all sniffly last night. :( And I'm also irrationally worried about traveling. I know I shouldn't be worried about them, or myself, because we're veteran travelers...come on, I've been country-hopping since I was ten. It just seems like the older I get, the harder it is for me to travel. How dumb is that? It may also be because I don't have my passport yet, and now I don't even know where my original birth certificate is. Arrrgh. So I need to tear apart my closet AGAIN and try and find it, and that failing, beg my grandparents in Texas to send me a new copy so that I can THEN get a new passport. Stupid beauracracies. Then again, at least I don't have to worry about getting a visa. o_o
So anyway, I'm gonna go visit my family again after work today, where I'll probably get weepy again. Here's hoping for a safe flight there. ^^

Also last night there was a big going-away dinner with friends from church. We had Mexican food and good desserts (and I got a free key lime pie out of the deal, yum!) but we also had a lot of conversation about Steve Irwin. It's so sad! I feel so bad for his family. :( At least the man died doing what he loved...not many people can say that. He will be missed.

And this is more rage than sadness...this stupid KH2 music video is DRIVING ME CRAZY ADJASKLJDALDJ. I swear, I've wasted 60 dollars trying to make this thing and it STILL refuses to cooperate. I had to buy the conversion program and put it on Em's computer so that I could change the files from .wmv to .mov, except the program's slow as hell and keeps freezing her poor computer, so I feel like an ass for raping Em's machine. Biggest problem of all is that the .mov files are FRECKING HUGE. Like, 2-5 gigs EACH. So THEN comes the hugest hassle of getting them from her computer to mine...CDs are no good, her comp can't write DVDs, and we have no Flash drives with that much space on them. We tried IMing the files to each other, but only one has come through safely...the others either won't open on my comp or just won't transfer all the way. And it already takes at least a few hours to TRANSFER the damn files because they're thousands and thousands of megabytes. And THEN I get them to my computer and try to import them into iMovie, and iMovie's all LOL FILES R 2 BIG TO IMPORT! So THEN I need to spend another to buy Quicktime Pro so that I can chop up the .movs into smaller pieces and import them into iMovie. Once I get to that point it works fine; I was able to import one file and start editing it to the music. But that's one file out of, like, 20. And every time I think something's fixed, some NEW PROBLEM pops up.

Just....ARRRRRGGGGHHHKDFJALKSDJFSAJFSAKJDFSKA I HATE COMPUTERS and stupid-ass conversion programs that only work on PCs and not macs! WHYYYY have a spent so much DAMN MONEY on a FAN PROJECT?!!@48329q0

So...does anyone know of an easy way to transfer files of extremely large size (say, up to 6 GB) from a PC to a mac? And preferably a way that doesn't involve spending money, as I've already spent too much on this thing as it is? Our network connection is pretty damn fast so that's not as much of an issue, it's just that the files are so damn HUGE that transferring over IM tends to mean something will go wrong and the files get killed between her computer and mine. This dumb project is causing me so much stress and headache that I almost wanna say "Screw it, I lost 60 bucks and that's that."

Except the video'd look really frickin' cool if I finished it. ;_;

Don't think I've mentioned this before, but caedhe got two little guinea pigs! Their names are Luna and Kairi, and they're so cute! ^^ The cats haven't seen them much, so I don't think they care, but the guinea pigs usually just hang out in her room anyway. Yaaay, adorable animals...

Also! I'm going to start on a really big, new project that I've been wanting to do for awhile, so I'm really excited about it! ^^ Most people probably already know what it is, but I'll post more of it once I feel ready to share. Expect lotsa pictures and promo from it in the near future! *dance*

Operator status: Oyyy, and I get stuck without a second operator yet again.

Drawing: Finished TLS comics, still working on Bronx cover and Flash animation, although now I'm getting an idea for a different cute lil' Flash that might be good in my portfolio. (I need LESS IDEAS ARRGH) And of course, the big comic project! ^^

Writing: Need to do more LW, plus now I've been getting an idea for another KH2 fics... (GAH AND THERE'S ANOTHER IDEA STOP ME PLEASE)
