Hey, so I finally just finished these fanarts! I thought I'd post them up...
( Deathnote fanarts weee )
Also, I was just randomly thinking about this for reasons I cannot comprehend, and I was wondering if anyone else knew of it.
When I was younger, we had a German foreign exchange student, and he was great with computers, so he put this computer game on our home comp. This was way back when CD-ROMS were OH EM GEE AMAZING, and we had just got a computer that could play them and THAT was all kinds of awesome. The computer game was in German, and it was a Kellogg's computer game! You could play as either Tony the Tiger, Smacks the Frog, Coco the Monkey or (I think) Toucan Sam. Sometimes you could switch off the characters in different levels. All of the characters also had special abilities: Tony could run really fast, Smacks could swim, Coco could swing from vines, and Sam (I assume) could fly. You ran around these different levels collecting...cereal pieces. It was like collecting coins in a Mario game, except it was cereal! And the cereal always changed with the character you used: Tony got Frosted Flakes, Smacks got, um...Smacks, Coco got Coco Puffs, and Toucan Sam got Froot Loops. You could also collect certain vitamins for bonus points: Vitamin A, Vitamins B6 and B12, etc. I think if you collected them all in one level you got an extra life or something.
And the bad guys were...ants. Yes, you use Tony the Tiger to stomp on evil ants like Mario. And sometimes the ants tried to shoot rocks at you or hit you with spears or jump around. The object of the game was to reach the end of each level in tact, collecting as many cereal bits and vitamins along the way as you could. And I swear, these levels were actually quite difficult! There were secret hidden areas or spots that were just ridiculously hard to get around. And here's the bad part: there was, as far as I could tell, NO WAY TO SAVE. So everytime I played the game, I had to start from level 1 and work my way up. I think the farthest I ever got was level 12 or 13, which was near impossible because there was so much vine-swinging for Coco involved. I never did get to the levels that involved Toucan Sam, so that's why I'm speculating on what would happen there. Also, there were tips you could get along the way, but they were all in German so they were useless to me.
Has anyone else heard of this game? Does anyone know if it was ever available in English, or if it was just a German game? I'm so curious to see what's become of it, and just to make sure it wasn't some strange figment of my imagination. Because, it was TONY THE TIGER acting in a Mario-style game! How crazy is that?
KH2 countdown: 40 days!
Narnia puppet show completion status: 80% HOLYCRAP amazing! I got most of the show done, and it will get posted on the site tomorrow! Look forward to it!
Drawing: Finished this, and I still need to do more website graphic junk. Also, since I had that tone discussion, I need to go back and fix some of the toned pages more. Perhaps this weekend while I'm not at work. And after the talk, I'm also more motivated to work on other comic things!
Writing: ...Buuuut drawing's probably going to get pushed by the wayside for writing. Got about three KH fics demanding attention: the five-things drabble; a huge-ass story that I might collaborate on with others, and then that threesome sexfic that won't leave my brain alone. Also, I need to work on my novel for class, so I'm going to do that tomorrow. Perhaps I'll post the scene along with pictures, 'cause I likes to draw Kulay for that story. ^^
