Anyways, was feeling excessively bored at work today, so I just pulled out my sketchbook and started sketching all of the original characters that I could think of. (Most of the main ones, anyway; there's much more.) I was using a pencil that I wasn't used to, so I was kinda miffed at how some of them turned out. Here are the results:

I came to the disturbing conclusion that a LOT of my characters all look very similar. Like, in the look of their face, their body shape, etc. Sometimes I feel very uncreative in the realm of hair styles and clothes, which is bad. I wish I could figure out how to give my characters more variety, and not just rely on "she has a round face and short hair while hers is angular with longer hair." There's got to be more to it than that. I guess I just don't feel confident enough in my human anatomy skills to be a little experimental. Feh, I would've thought I'd be past that by now. XP Or perhaps I really can do more, but I'm trapping myself in the "manga style?".....guhhh, I dunno.
