So in my search for a working pencil sharpener, I came across our collection of Star Wars Hippos!




It's blue hippos! Blue hippos cosplaying as Star Wars characters!

They're Kinder Egg toys that my brother and I collected while we were in Germany. They must've had Episode I or rereleases of the originals coming out in theaters or something, because I remember Star Wars toys in the cereal boxes, too. Quite a few of them have broken (sorry there, Hippo!Yoda), but at least we got quite a collection there! Apparently we were really trying for the SW hippos back then, because I found a ton of doubles, too. I could've sworn we had a Princess Leia, too, but she seems to be missing...



I found some LOTR toys in the same bag! I think they're also Kinder Egg toys, but I'm not sure. I'm just :OOO that we actually got a Wormtongue.



These aren't really from anything in particular, they're just more Kinder Egg prizes. Some of them are really bizarre. And they're all made up of teensy little parts that you can put together or give to small children as a choking hazard!


In short: Germany has always made the best toys. Because: BLUE STAR WARS HIPPOS. Also, I really miss Kinder Eggs. America tried it for awhile with the whole "Magic Ball" thing, and I guess it kinda failed. WTF, America.
