Sunday art dump
While I have not been as school-wise productive as I probably should be, I've been doing stuff here and there. So! Have a bunch of different 2D and 3D art that doesn't quite fit into one category or other. XD;

HOLY CRAP, it's LUNARGYROS SPOILERRRRRS. (So, uh, don't look if you don't wanna be spoiled?!) Was just doodling around in class and started drawing stuff from later chapters. This is random stuff ranging up from chapter four to the last chapter. Finally getting to draw more Gawain, wee!

Drew this today while sitting in on John's class, once again. It's a redneck troll...OF THE FUTURE! About to club the life out of some poor high schooler wandering onto his lawn, with a mechanical club...OF THE FUTURE!

Dudes may recognize this as the story with the baby quetzalcoatl, homeless guy and extinct animals. Well, it still has no story, but I'm giving the characters a design overhaul, and kind of cutting Teo out, since I guess the story is cooky enough with homeless guy plus unusual animals. But I still love Teo (have been drawing him separately) and will probably find some other good story for him. But for now, changing the style to something not-anime, and a little more simple and funny. May go back later and add some very basic colors or tones.

Also, for poses I was looking at Heinrich Kley for influence. I've decided I absolutely need to go buy some of his artbooks off of Amazon, or wherever I can find them. His artwork is really just so fluid, lifelike and bizarre at once that it's practically impossible not to be inspired by it. I really want to start studying his work and basing some of my drawings off of his poses and gesture. I mean heck, the guy pretty much inspired the entire Disney mindset and art style.

In-progress screencap of an anthro I've been trying to color in Photoshop. Why is the last part of coloring always the hardest to finish for me?!

Speaking of coloring, the Balrog is ABOUT DOOOOOONE! I just have a few touchups to do on the colors, and then I think it's ready to roll! And Scott's gonna show me how to use some lighting effects in Maya so that I can make the eyes and mouth actually glow fire. ♥

And that is all for now, for I am a sleepy thing. Gotta work on animation more tomorrow at school. >_>

Drawing: This stuff!
