- It might be obvious, but I ♥ Phoenix. I've always preferred optimistic, bright, believe-in-your-friends type heroes over the darker, stoic antiheroes, and Phoenix is definitely the former. XD His generally friendly-yet-sensible personality just played so well against some of the other wacky characters.
- Speaking of, I was not expecting to laugh as much as I did in this game, but there were several moments where I literally burst out guffawing all over my DS, and I can't remember the last time I've done something like that. And a lot of that was character-driven humor, which is pretty difficult to pull off.
- POOR MIA! ;_; We just get to know her in the first case and then she's killed off in the next one?! At least she gets to show up as a ghost, although I'll admit the Maya/Mia hybrid when Maya's channeling her is a little weird.
- Okay yeah, it's pretty difficult not to have a bit of love for Edgeworth, especially after the fourth case. But dammit, I still wanted to smack him several times throughout the whole game! I'm trying to HELP you, moron! Keep a leash on that damn guilt complex from hell! XP
- Little!Phoenix and Edgeworth were beyond adorable. XD
- The fourth case was made of CRYYYY nonetheless. ;_; Poor little Edgey! I've gotten stuck in an elevator before too, so I know how nerve-wracking that is. D: It was only, like, five minutes, and not five hours...but still! Frightening! Also, Von Karma was rather terrifying. D: And it was extremely aggravating how he kept OBJECTING me every time I opened my mouth! Sheesh.
- And speaking of all those...I happened to complete the fourth case on 12/28. COINCIDENCE OF AMAZING.
- ...I love the name-puns.
- Holy crap, Will Powers was a huge cutie. I just wanted to hug him. Also, I loved how the "Steel Samurai" stuff just kept turning up EVERYWHERE after that case. XD
- And Gumshoe, too. It's really hard not to like Gumshoe. At the start of the fifth case, I was all terrified that he was the detective that had been murdered. ;_;
- I missed Maya a lot when she left after the fourth case, but Ema was a pretty good replacement. She got on my nerves at first, but once we got into the swing of things she was damned helpful.
- Speaking of the fifth case, HOLY CRAP THAT THING WAS MADE OF LONGNESS AND LONG. I could've sworn I spent more time on that "bonus case" than the other four combined! D: (Although the fourth was pretty freakin' long, too.) I mean, seriously. The other four cases didn't have more than two pages' worth of evidence. And the fifth had, what? Five pages?!
- ...So I totally didn't get the fingerprinting exercise at first, and how it worked, and I spent like ten minutes huffing and puffing on my DS before I realized I was DOIN IT WRONG. I mean, it was a really cool feature to have (as was spraying luminol everywhere) but it just weirded me out in that THE VIDEO GAME KNOWS HOW HARD I'M BREATHING OMG.
- AND YEAH GANT KINDA SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME WITH THE MANIACAL LAUGHTER KTHX.
- I'm glad I had friends who played the game before to help me out, otherwise I would've "died" a whole bunch. 8D; There were several times where I guessed wrong and got penalties for the wrong evidence, and most of the time I couldn't figure out what the puzzles were in the first place. The whole thing with withholding the crucial evidence in the last case in order to win the game was really counterintuitive, geez!
- As far as where my shipping preferences lie? I dunno, I haven't really decided on anything yet. My thoughts on shipping are like they are with FFXII: mostly casual; of no real consequence to me like KH is. I do know that Phoenix/Maya doesn't sit right with me, because they're adorable together, but just...not in that way. The vibes I'm mostly getting? That Gumshoe is totally gay for Edgeworth. :O
- LOL Edgeworth: OH GOD WHY IS THE BLUE BADGER ALL OVER MY CRAP
- In conclusion: PHOENIX IS HUGGABLE. ♥
...Soooo I'll probably go out and get JfA pretty soon, if not tomorrow, since I have that handy gift card from
