Also, while I did this awhile ago, I just completely forgot to mention it: I've uploaded the two KH2 music videos I've done to amv.org, so there's (somewhat) nicer copies available for download.

For texturing homework, we had to do an iridescent beetle. I couldn't get the actual animated turntable to work, which sucks, since the whole point of the assignment was for the beetle's colors to change depending on what angle you were looking at him. :P Ah well, here's just a regular render. (Oh, and I didn't make the model.)



And then for poly modeling, we had to do our first human head! I used my own head for reference, not that you can tell, as it looks nothing like me and I prefer it that way :Db. This poor guy needs ears, and probably a neck. And a mesh that doesn't suck.



I was trying to work hard during Production Design on Sunday, but ended up finishing my work early, so I just started putting random lines on the page and this...funky thing and creepy smoking guy who looks like a vampiric Mr. Burns just kinda came out. I didn't think much of it until people started ooohing and aaahing, and then the teacher came over and was all "THIS is good; this is the kind of stuff you should show to Pixar!" (since I expressed interest in sending a portfolio there).
...Okay! I guess I will be doing much more of this kind of thing in the future, then! o_o But hey, at least it's fun sometimes to not try and do anything and see what just comes out of random lines on the page.

And finally, there's a quick pencil test I did for animation class starring Jack Lope again, and it's on dA here.


Speaking of dA, those crappy Organization comics with Demyx acting like a toddler and Saix getting turned into this puppy-thing are the new thing that's driving me up the wall. So I want to make fun of them with some kind of comic, like with Roxel and the creepy Saix-fetus-babies. Shush, I always feel better after I do one of those! The problem is, I don't have any good (and tasteful) ideas for poking fun at this newest OOC phenomenon...

In FFXII news, I have beaten the Shadowseer, YAAAAAY. OMG, it's Gollum! D: So now I only have a couple other monsters to find for the bestiary, two more marks to get (including Yiazmat), one more esper, one scary-as-hell optional boss, and four more rare monsters to find before I have 100% BESTIARY OH YEAH. /dorkery

(Aaaand wow, the internets at school suck hardcore right now...)

Drawing: Finished two more page tonings yesterday, which means I've about caught up with where I want to be, yay!

Writing: More sporkings.

I don't really know, but like that Saix-babies trend, it seems to have popped up from a pair of artists drawing equally crappily-done comics. And then it just caught on like Roxel did. DDD: *Is too lazy to dig up links to said artist ATM; might be able to find them later*

It's too bad the art is amusing from those comics, but the writing isn't quite as much.

I mean, the first couple of comics? Okay, yeah, I chuckled, but keeping up with the grossly OOCness is less amusing after two comics.

Wait, have there actually been 4/11 comics by them? The only ones I've noticed have been the Demyx = toddler, Saix = puppy ones, Axel sucking on Roxas's brain or something, and a few other ones with Xaldin or Luxord.

No prob! :D I hadn't used AMV's upload feature before, so I had to figure that out a bit...

And yeah, they've been on Y!gallery and dA (lately on the front pages of dA), so if you're not on there, you would've been fortunate enough to miss them. :P

Sheesh... glad I'm not the only one who dislikes those things... I thought I'd be kicked out of the fandom if I'd admitted that...

Yeah, I know they are all the rage right now. I guess to me it just feels like the same old jokes I've seen in a thousand other OOC comics, except these are...weirder? It doesn't have me laughing, anyway.

And thank you! :D It's fun, but a lot more challenging than I was expecting...I have to redo my human head completely, 'cause my edge loops on it are awful!
