Never make light of boing

While I was out swimming with my bro this morning, I saw this gorgeous red-tailed hawk come sailing in and land on a light post right next to the pool. It was huge and just kind of sat there for a moment looking regal. I've seen hawks flying around the canyon before, but I've never seen a wild one that close. *_*

Sunshine is doing a little better. She's walking a little more, but still won't go across the street or upstairs, and walking too much tires her out. But she doesn't look so bad anymore.

Blade Runner
Maybe it's because I watched the director's cut instead of the theatrical cut, but it seemed like this movie was awful slow and then just got strange at the end. The production design of it was great, with a real mix of sci-fi and detective noir giving it a flashy-and-gritty look that's been imitated so much. And Harrison Ford worked well as the lead guy. It was just a lot of atmosphere and scene-setting with not that much action, which you'd figure there'd be lots of since it's a guy chasing down renegade robots (or clones? IDK, there's really no indication they're robots, unless they're genetically engineered like all the animals, too?) So while the look of it was great, it didn't quite have the same level of suspense as Alien. Also, it had a very 80s feel...sometimes the music sounded like something I'd recognize from Tron. XD

Yeah, they were robots. Hence the turing test thing and the wires and - honestly I'm not sure how you could miss that they were robots, there's even a parts shop shown at one point.

The strange thing about Bladerunner is that for an action movie it's not really an action movie; it's very psychological, geared to make you think instead of geared for adrenaline.

Okay, I saw the bit with the old guy making their eyes, but I seem to have missed the wires or something...I don't know how that wasn't clear. /o_O\

Aw, I'm glad Sunshine's felling better! I'm sure she'll be fully recovered soon. (-:
