Much is under cuts

Yay, [livejournal.com profile] ghettopeach came and hung out with me today! We watched MST3K, other movies and made delicious pizza. 'Twas much funtimes!

Also, I finished a fanart! Here it be:

In case you can't tell, I'm excited about Tron Legacy coming out in December. 8D And if Sora, Donald and Goofy ever go back to Tron's world in KH3 or whatever, they should totally get new Legacy outfits.

Pulp Fiction
Ehh, I...actually dunno about this one. I can't get why it's so popular, or renowned, or whatever the deal is with most people knowing this movie. I suppose for some people it would strike a cord with them, and I'm just not a part of that audience, but either way I didn't really get it. It had some fun characters, and the dialogue was smart (if not constantly riddled with profanities), but I just couldn't follow it. Gangsters are violent, and hopped up on drugs, and have to deal with accidentally killing people. Okay? It just didn't click with me. Except Samuel Jackson had some great speeches.

Guess not much to say on that. Oh well. OH, and one thing...I liked the music! I think I'd rather own the movie soundtrack than the movie itself.

Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
I switched this one up with today's because [livejournal.com profile] ghettopeach was over and we decided to watch something on the list a little more fun. While it didn't have the level of polish that a lot of Miyazaki's later films had (like Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away), it definitely had the same spirit and feel in the animation, which is always amazing. I thought they did a good job of condensing the manga down into something movie-length, especially with how dense the manga got in terms of politics and philosophy and the extra load of characters they had. They got Nausicaa's character down so well in the time they had, and the flight scenes, as always, were amazing. It's kind of hard to NOT have a Miyazaki movie be good, but regardless, this was a great one. XD
