TRANSFREIGHT.

To [livejournal.com profile] ghettopeach, [livejournal.com profile] caedhe and [livejournal.com profile] chobit001: I wrote up that letter to the amazing TRANSFREIGHT! I found their website online, so I can mail them the letter anytime. However, I know I'm missing some of the great words that we came up with from that word game, so could you remind me what some of the really awesome ones were? The letter is here:

Dear owners of Transfreight,

We would just like to thank you for creating a third-party logistics company with a great brand name! Yesterday while driving to a get-together in Santa Monica, we were caught in terrible traffic and found ourselves bored with the long wait. We happened to be behind a Transfreight truck with the logo printed on the back. Someone suggested that we try and see how many different words we could make out of the letters in “Transfreight” to pass the time.

We ended up coming with more than 50 words out of letters from “Transfreight!” Some of our favorites included heist, strife, fright, ghast, straight, and geisha. We got nearly half an hour’s worth of amusement and hilarity from playing word games with your brand name. So we just wanted to write and thank you for entertaining us during some rough Los Angeles traffic!

Signed,
Kelli, Megan, Alison and Catherine.

Also, related to that: the birthday party for [livejournal.com profile] hystericblue42 was awesomefun! We ate at the King's Head pub in Santa Monica, and got the whole party room to ourselves 'cause there were so many guests. I ordered the fish and chips because they supposedly had the best fish and chips in Someplace. And I suppose they were...okay. The fish looked like it was deep fat-fried, dipped in lard, then fried once again in pure animal fat and then sprinkled with MSG. It was like...fish wrapped in a fatsponge. D: Needless to say, I didn't really eat all of it. But the chips were good, and the Mrs. Fields cookie cake was made of delicious awesome! And of course, the company was lots of fun. A good time had by all! :D

Completely unrelated: my brother brought his Wii over again, and I've been playing Twilight Princess. :3 I suck hardcore at using the wiimote, but the graphics are so pretty and it's fun so I try anyway.

And Disneyland tomorrow! Woohoo!

Drawing: Lots of Lunargyros pages.

Writing: Nothing just yet...

I'm so glad you had fun! I'm really concerned about whether I'll be able to actually go tomorrow or not. I feel completely exhausted even just walking to the kitchen.

Take care of yourself!

The Wiimote is freaking brutal. I spent twenty years training myself to eliminate all unnecessary motor activity while playing video games, and now all of a sudden there's a platform that wants me to wave my arms around instead of just pushing the buttons? Eff that, man.

Transfreight is good for anagrams, too. Thin Grifters, Farthest Ring, and Errant Fights are some of my favorites.

Farthing Rest would make a good name for an inn in a fantasy novel. Fright Astern might make a good chapter name in a nautical story. Hag Rents Rift would make a good mock headline in...oh, something or other.

The last thing I tried to do with the wiimote was attack a bunch of guys while riding on horseback, and I completely mixed up how to steer Epona, press A to make her go faster, and swing both the nunchuck and wiimote in order to hit things. BRUTAL INDEED.

On our ride, we also suggested that we try and write a short story using only words and phrases made from Transfreight. It could be doable, since you can get a, I, the, he and she all out of Transfreight! We can title it Errant Fights.
