So my parents invited me out to see a movie with them, and we went to go see Ice Age 3. Now see, I haven't seen Ice Age 2, so I guess I missed the part where Manny got a girlfriend and Sid got some possums (YEAH POSSUMS) and Diego got...no one? Anyways, this was the third one instead, and it had DINOSAURS and some crazy weasel thing.

All in all? Got quite a few laughs out of it, but it was forgettable. Diego's character seems so dumbed down from the first movie; he was basically there to be SUPPORT TIGER for everyone else. D: Probably the best part of the movie was Scrat and the ladysquirrel...all the best laughs came from them. They could probably make a movie JUST with the squirrels and everyone would go see it and it'd be hilarious. It's like Wile E. Coyote, but with saber-toothed squirrels.

So bottom line: some funny, DINOSAURS YEAH, and the rest was ehh.

XD the possums are Manny's girlfriend's siblings. She thought she was a possum because she was raised by them, hence Ice Age 2 is about her identity crisis. And they've been slowly making Diego a...well, a pussy since the first movie. He was a lot meaner and smarter then xD

Personally, I'm still trying to get over the fact there's even dinosaurs in the movie when they should be dead. I know they find some that are still around, but...wtf xD

Yeah, when you consider there are humans in the movie, it really makes NO SENSE AT ALL. There's just. Kind of this tropical world completely underneath all the ice a la The Lost World, and LOL IT'S HERE WE DON'T KNOW WHY IT JUST SORT OF IS.

I was able to suspend my belief for the other two movies, but once I heard "dawn of the dinosaurs", I was done XD. LOL lost world plot. I BET THEY WERE GOING TO THE GREAT VALLEY. SAY HI TO LITTLE FOOT FOR ME.

NO ACTUALLY the plot is is that Sid is kidnapped by a Tyrannosaur because he tried to raise her babies for her (the eggs were left in an underground ice cavern BECAUSE THAT IS A GREAT PLACE TO HATCH EGGS AMIRITE) and so crew goes down to Lost Dino World to save him.

There was...lots of belief-suspending.

Yeaaaah, don't see IA2, honestly. The graphics improved, sure, but... eh. I'm not fond of sequels often.

I've only watched the first Ice Age movie, and Diego was my favorite(lol, I even believed for a second that he really had died at the end of the movie...silly me, I should know better when it comes to kid movies XD)out of the trio...So to hear that he has apparently gotten a case of Badass Decay(Or maybe it should be Character Derailment?)makes me a bit sad =/

one of his buddies get a girlfriend, and the other gets a possum posse, and he gets...nothing. Not cool =/

Diego was always my favorite in the first Ice Age movie. Soooo at least from this, it looks like he got both Badass Decay AND Character Derailent.

Yeah, his kind of half-schtick throughout the movie is I'M LOSING MY TOUCH AND I WANT TO BE AN AWESOME LONER AGAIN and then he...doesn't even get that. :/

I took my kids to see it last Friday, and it wasn't too bad. Of course, I had to have a marathon of the first too the night before, because I had never seen them, and I didn't want to be lost. Most of it was pretty good, but I think that Sid and his babies were my favorite. XD

Yeah, I think that movie was definitely fine for the kidlets...there was a family in front of us with some little kids commenting on parts and we thought some of what they said was hilarious. XD And probably one of the best parts was Sid and the dino eggs.
