I did actually buy the strategy guide (it has saved my butt so much and was totally worth the money!) but I think that FAQ and the official guide are pretty much the same: it tells which area to find certain monsters in, but doesn't specify the particular spawn places of harder-to-find monsters (that aren't rare creatures or marks.) Makes it really aggravating when you're, say, looking for an entite in Giruvegan and have no idea where in Giruvegan it usually appears. D:
