I'm not sure what the cause of my symptoms in that area is, but the pill actually made things worse in my case. I really hope it can help you out, and I know it's done wonders for a ton of people, but when I went on the pill, rather than regulating my periods and eliminating some of the pain I was in, I was missing periods and still in pain; I went off them after missing a couple periods, and my hormones were so messed up at that point that I spent about a week in a full-on emotional breakdown. And I didn't know it was the hormones causing it, either, until I started my period and suddenly stopped bursting into tears every time I opened my mouth. (That week, I was so messed up emotionally that my therapist actually asked me if I was suicidal. I wasn't, never have been, but the fact that she needed to ask...)
