Then I got to day 14, I died, I shut it off, later restarted the game to find Roxas had taken my save file to the netherworld with him, so now the real thing is being shipped... cause that was just NOT NICE to tease me like that.

Yeah, I learned about Xion's true nature on a "Problems with Kingdom Hearts/ways you would improve the series" thread on /co/. I raged so hard when someone explained the whole thing to me, just from the sheer WHAT THE HELL NOMURA? factor.

Yeah, there was some rage in there, but in the context of a universe where you fly to Disney worlds in a spaceship made of candy and fight with a giant key, it can make some sense. For me, the WTF is more of an amused-why-would-you-do-that-WTF than a THIS-MAKES-NO-SENSE-EVER-WTF.
